Let me start off by saying the place is a hidden gem. Although the decor is on the run-down side, the food does not disappoint. My first visit to Vanxai was about 4 years ago and I have been frequenting this place whenever I crave pad thai. The pad thai here is the best I’ve had in the whole city and better than other cities I’ve been to in Toronto and Vancouver (and the states)! The deep-fried chicken is SO juicy yet crispy on the outside. Whenever I go here, I always order chicken pad thai and deep-fried chicken. Never been let down by those items.
