Ordered clubhouse platter.. the sandwiches had real bacon and a bit of processed but clean poultry of some kind. However they were on the smaller side as far as clubhouses go and were rather unremarkable.The fries were decent skinny cut, and a good portion.The service was great, however it was the most expensive clubhouse Ive had in winnipeg or surrounding and was nowhere near the best. For less money you can get a much better clubhouse, much better fries and a mountain of salad right here in Charleswood, just check my other reviews.
Have wanted to come here for a while and finally popped in yesterday. I had the Nick’s Cheeseburger Deluxe w/fries & slaw. The burger was amazing, probably one of the best I’ve had, fries were great even though they weren’t crispy (usually that’s a deal-breaker for me), I didn’t care much for the slaw as it was quite different from what I’m used to. My mother, who is very fussy about fish, really enjoyed the fish & chips she ordered. Clean restaurant, good service, loads of parking – overall, a nice little diner. Will definitely be back.
Honest. Just go. One of the best burgers in Manitoba. Bring cash. Crowded always and for good reason. Worth the drive. French fries – I have never left one on the plate. I always plan on taking a picture but somehow get side tracked when my awesome burger shows up. You will most def enjoy.
Been many times over the years – always friendly service, large portions, and great food. A good family dining option. Highly recommend the hamburger and/or milkshakes!
Clean restaurant,friendly service and attentive. Fries and burgers were as good as anyones in my opinion. Good size portions and you get your milkshake served old school style in a tin blender cup.We would go back here if we are in the area again.
Ordered the Salisbury steak lunch special….. Patty was cooked well but was riddled with grissel and was dripping with grease!Fries were nice n crispy but portions were too small. Vegetable tasted like canned peas & carrots that were sitting in the water for an extended period ….. Tasteless. Chocolate sundae for desert was slightly (literally) more than a spoon full of ice cream with choc sauce drizzled over it. Service was good and friendly. It’s a little on the pricy side.
I used to love this place.. I don’t know what’s happened over the last couple years.. but we decided to start going again… Bland food at a high price… I’d rather hit up a Salisbury House on a Tuesday… Better taste better price.
