A weird layout to this place. The food was decent, but i dont know if id go out of my way to come back. however, if i took the old bird out for a date n some mini golf, i wouldnt mind stayin longer to grab a bite. This place would be great at a lake, not the side of #1.

We ordered Greek Salad to go with garlic bread. The salad was about the size of a side salad and the olives were so salty. The 2 pieces of garlic bread was one piece of soggy texas toast cut in 1/2. Not worth it for the price!

Heading on the Transcanada? Stop at Alberts. I live in Winnipeg, and I don’t go west that often. So I don’t get to Albert’s that often. I do, however, make a point of stopping there whenever I am around the Brandon area.Albert’s is very good. The decor is nothing to look at, but the food is great. Especially the chicken and veal cordon bleu, which is very rich, delicious, and well prepared. The lemon potatos are amazing. The souvlaki is also very good, as is the prime rib. Everything I’ve tried is great. The portions are pretty large, but not overwhelming. The service is prompt, and the prices are not backbreaking. After dinner, you can go rock climing? or mini golf? I don’t know why those things are there, but I guess if you are into that type of thing, you can do that too. Perhaps burn off a few calories.

The last time we were there the waitress kept making remarks (kids menu, high chair) about my friend who happens to be a bit short (OK he’s a lot short, but that’s not the point), he said he wasn’t offended but it bothered me a bit. She also talked down to us a bit….Just enough to piss me off. Bad customer service IMOthe food is good but if I’m spending $200 on dinner for 4, I don’t expect to be insulted. (At this particular dinner it was my diminutive friend that paid)I will say that the Lemon potatoes are FANTASTIC. they would just be better served by a waitress that could keep her mouth shut and do her job.

Good Food – Costs to Much. Small & crowded. Service is OKAY. Foods Good. A little pricey. Regular Customers get real good service. Out-of- the-way.
