Dropped by with my girlfriend after hearing good things from a few friends. Ordered two burgers, fries and an onion ring. Burgers were so bad that neither of us could finish them. Patties were obviously the frozen kind. They were thin and over cooked. Not only tasteless but dry and tough as well. The fries were limp and had a burnt taste like they were cooked in old and dirty oil. Onion rings were also the frozen kind but they were the only edible part of the meal. Don’t understand why people keep going on about this place. Will not be back any time soon.
Finally popped in here after hearing great things. It was packed and took a bit to get our food. I wasn’t overly hungry so I just ordered the poutine. Not the best I’ve had but it was alright. My boyfriend ordered the works and the spicy chicken burger. The fries were really good. The chilli they use is quite tasty. He said the burger was good too. Decent experience but think I’ll have to return to try a burger or hot dog next time. I loved the decor though. Really nice retro vibe going on.
Went for lunch on the way home from our Gimli Beach House last week.Had hot dog, rings and a shake and everything was great! My employee had a burger and fries and he was stuffed after.Great place and close to Winnipeg. Will be back soon!!
I’d say their burgers are so different from the fast food ones, it’s really delicious for me and fresh. Once you bite into it, you could taste the cheese melting in your mouth with their juicy burgers. Their fries are crunchy despite eating outside with a windy weather. However, they should build more dine in areas so when it gets packed, their customers doesn’t have to go outside especially if it’s not warm enough to go out. Although I’m only giving this a 4.0 because their washroom is dirty I mean I understand that they were busy and there was only one person cleaning I think they should always make everything clean no matter what the situation is.Not to mention, their service was so-so as well. I like the fact that they ask what you don’t want in your burgers/hotdogs and they really seem to care about their customers BUT! when I ordered second time around I literally waited for over 40 mins. to get my order. I asked this lady about it and she said that if it wasn’t called yet then it’s not ready. I was getting furious because everyone who ordered has been called already and my boyfriend and I had been standing forever and no one bothered to ask us about my order so I decided to ask a different lady and told her my problem. I don’t really know what happened but she just said it was their fault and gave me a $25 gift card to compensate. It happens but wish they’d change the system how they give out orders.Personally, I’d go back again for their yummy burgers and fries because it’s a good way to satisfy your burger cravings, always loved the ambiance and the music always go well together.
Was way better as a kid. I used to come at least six times a summer on our way back from fishing trips and it was always delicious. The service is a little bit slow now and the food isn’t as great but it’s still really good. Wouldn’t come there as often as I did but if you’re looking for a good burger, you dont mind paying a fair amount and you’re passing by then go for it.
For years and years.. Spring wasn’t really spring until we made the trip to Lockport for a Half Moon hot dog! This is the first year that I missed becausemy driver passed away last fall but I will get there before the summer if out…
If you are in the mood for a hotdog and a drive this is the place you have to go to. It has been a favorite for many years. Always seems busy so it must mean a lot of other people like it too.
