I was in Brandon for a work trip and was craving Asian food. I stumbled upon Roll’n Pin which looked like a dive. I was pleasantly surprised with it. I got the Gamjatang which was very good. The green tea roll was recommended by the table next to me and it was definitely an interesting roll with unique flavours. Even though the server wasn’t friendly, the service was very quick.
I went here while visiting Brandon. I went for the lunch buffet, which was $15 for all you can eat.I originally went no knowing it was all you can eat, thinking it was a la carte only. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the rolls and appetizer were, and how great the value was. Being from Winnipeg, I have been to a few all you can eat sushi places, and while this may not have been the best sushi ever, for $15 it was by far the best value. I have paid $25+ for poor quality sushi, so for $15 this was quite shockingly good. The service was decent, however at one point the server brought the wrong dish out for me (I am not sure if it was meant for another table or there was a misunderstanding on the marking sheet?) but the server happily took back the dish. Towards the end of my meal the service got painfully slow; I am not sure if this is a method of trying to get patron to leave? but I had ordered more food and my sheet was taken, but then took 30+ minutes to bring my last order.
