Came here on a weekend evening for dinner. Boy, is this place ever busy on weekends! My recommendation is you make a reservation if you have a party larger than 4.Food at Sun Fortune is legit! They focus on Hong Kong style Cantonese food. You can expect nearly all dishes to be cooked well at Sun Fortune and for them to be very tasty.The problem comes with the ambiance of the restaurant. The problem is it can be so busy, that the restaurant is super noisy! During weekend evenings, it can be difficult to hold a conversation especially at a big table. Another issue is associated with the service. The staff really do hustle and really do try their best. They certainly do have a lot of staff, but for some reason service at times is hard to come by.Sun Fortune has a very extensive menu. They will do Hong Kong style cafe food, stir fried, soups, congee, hot pot, and noodles of many kinds. So there really is something here for everyone! The only issue I have with Sun Fortune is value. They are a tad on the pricey side, but considering how busy they are, most people must find them worth it!
Omg. Sun fortune is incomparable with anything else I’ve tried. Golden fried shrimp is like nothing I’ve tried before. Hot pot is good too. Will def be returning soon
Usually come here for lunch only, since their dinner menu is kinda pricey. Generally the food is good and their lunch Or afternoon tea specials are cheap .
One of my all time favorite Chinese restaurant in Winnipeg. It’s a Hong kong style restaurant that has great food items and even their hot pot in the winter is pretty bomb! If you love Chinese food you should try it here!
Absolutely terrible service, got asked to leave the restaurant because there were others waiting for us, after waiting 20 mins to be seated for our RESERVATION and then waiting another 30 to get our order taken. Will not be back.
this place is always busy but the staffs knows how to work fast. we had booked a table because we know this place is always packed. arrived on time and the table is already waiting. friendly staff and very knowledgeable on the menu, food is great, everything is good and fresh. fast service. reasonably priced. we eat here about 2 times a month. and always have good experience every visit. i recomend eating here
Amazing… all the menu items i have tried did not disappoint. Love the atmosphere and how you can see the chefs working hard to perfect your dish. Hong kong style coffee/tea drink is sooo good.
