If I could give them 0 points I would. Went to this restaurant with 3 other people for all you can eat sushi. This was the worse sushi I have ever had, example: – the Volcano Roll was filled predominately with panko crumbs and a few strips of salmon skin. I have had Volcano Roll in many places and have never come across anything near this bad. None of the food was any good. Then we all got sick that night. When one of our party phoned the restaurant they said no one else has complained and they had many people eating there that night. How would I know if anyone else complained. A read of the reviews indicates someone got sick in Nov 2015 and when they went down to complain the owner laughed at them and walked away. The meal cost 98.00 and they have the audacity to add a tip to the bill. My daughter who paid the bill did not notice this and gave them an additional 15%. You would think a decent person would have brought it to her attention that tip was already included. I will never return and will warn anyone else who suggests going there to keep away if you want bad food and to be poisoned.
My family and myself ended up getting sick after eating there. I called to let them the manager to let her know, just in case something they served us was off. I felt as if I was basically called a liar. I heard her speaking in the background..the relayed message back to me was that ‘ no one else called and complained ‘. Also, your tip is already included in the price. So if you are dissatisfied with the service, oh well your still paying for the tip. So I can no longer recommend Sushi Jet for the food…or the customer service.
Service was slow. The sushi was not very good and did not taste very fresh. I would not recommend. There is much better all you can eat sushi places with much better service and quality of food in Winnipeg.
Honestly, I wouldnt even give this place a 1. Sure the food is okay but the service was TERRIBLE. We waited a really long time for our food (which didnt even come all at once or in a timely manner) and after we paid and left a worker from the restaurant calls and accuses us of not paying our bill. You could even hear the owner in the background yelling. We ended up taking screenshots of our online bank statements proving we all paid and sent it to the worker so they could show the owner. Theyre completely rude and unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
Why the harsh reviews? I came here with friends. It was sooo good. This place cannot be compared to cold sobeys sushi. Their mushroom cashew is on point! Will be back when I’m around! They work hard and deserve respect from the food lovers community.
Very bad experience for a first timer here. Good food but overpriced, staffs are disrespectful and stupid! Taking our tables away even though we arent finish eating. Thats not the way to treat customers idiots!
This place is pretty decent if not busy. The menu is pretty extensive and they do offer all you can eat on sashimi, shellfish like oysters and mussels and beef tataki. The menu has most of the common items you would find at a typical sushi restaurant from rolls, nigiri, and Tempura. They also offer stir fries, soups, and a variety of other fried items like dumplings and wings. We experienced the 2nd wave lull that most people have talked about in the comments and it certainly is annoying, however the food does eventually come. As for food quality, it is acceptable, but definitely not as good as if you were to go to a sushi restaurant, which is somewhat disappointing considering $27 a person is about how much I would spend anyway given the selection. The several times I have been here were for guys-night-out and once for a stag, and we ate big which made it worth it, but for a regular meal, I don’t think I could justify coming here from a value perspective. Will definitely come again, if not for the novelty and for various occasions!
