I thought this place was going to be good. Went in waited for someone to sit us. Then waited for them to show us the menu for all you can eat. Asked how much for the all you can eat. 37.99 plus taxes and a mandatory 10% tip. I thought that was a bit much. Service sucked so we decided not to order and found another place.
Ive found the food quality to be quite good at more than one visit and the service to be slow and quite poor. Our server at the most recent visit seemed genuinely angry to be working and was snapping at us and other customers openly, which was rather unprofessional. She was barely present, so at least we werent bothered too much, but then no topping up of beverages or opportunity to ask for extra napkins was not appreciated. Hand rolls came out quickly and then a long wait for the other items ordered. Tempura shrimp and veggies were quite good, maki were all well prepared, well filled and fresh with spicy crunchy salmon and salmon avocado roll being the highlights.
I used to love eating the food at sushi jet, whether it was going to the restaurant or ordering it. But these past two days (Friday and Saturday), my boyfriend and I tried to order from Sushi Jet via SkipTheDishes. Usually when we order, it confirms within 5 minutes. On Friday, when we first ordered, they didnt confirm our order, and Skip had called us to let us know that they had tried calling the restaurant a few times to get them to confirm it. We shrugged it off and we would try again the next day (Saturday). The restaurant called us two hours later and asked if we had placed an order and I told them we did, but it got cancelled. I told them it was okay, and that we would order again the next day. Saturday came around, and my boyfriend and I tried to order it again for dinner. Again, the same thing happened – no confirm, nothing. Skip called us half an hour after we had placed the order, informing us that the restaurant rejected the order and they had tried to call the restaurant multiple times to try to confirm it. In the end, my boyfriend and I ended up ordering sushi from another restaurant. This restaurant and its service has disappointed me. I know its not a problem on Skips end. Its a problem with the restaurant. We didnt even receive a single apology from either of our orders. My boyfriend and I will not be coming back. Weve never been so disappointed.
