Took family for wing night. Waitress ignored us until I had to seek them out. Ordered 3 wing platters and only got 2. Asked for takeout box and never received it. For is generally quite good but service almost consistently stinks. Management really needs to train them properly in service. I’d like to go more frequently but the poor service prohibits that.
Great food. Not for sporting events. Went for wing special on Thursday. Food and service was very good. Only negative thing is watching a hockey game with 4 minutes left in third period and they turn the station to another game that hasn’t started yet. We left right away even though we had a sitter till 11pm. With a place with as many tv’s as they have you would expect at least one tv left on for 5 mins.
If You Can Find It You Will Probably Like It…… But the signage is terrible. We went the first time and could not find it, ended up going to Gan’s and then back to the city. After talking to a friend that told us about Hespeler’s we went out again and drove down a road that brought us to an open lot in front of us and a care home beside us. If there is signage it is NOT doing it’s job! We decided the restaurant was in fact inside a care home and enjoyed our wraps and fish’n chips. I would have liked less fries and maybe some coleslaw but we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. The price is right, the place is clean, the service was good and the server was friendly.
Would highly recommend. Went for appetizers and drinks and was really impressed. The decor is nice; country meets earls. Lots of big screen tv’s. Had the deep fried pickles, jalapeo poppers and wings. All we’re amazing. Big portions. Low prices. Service was great, however it was during a slow time so it’s hard to compare. Would definitely go back. Also had a takeout burger that was fantastic!
My husband and I attempted to go to Hesplers twice. Both times closed. And during regular business hours. Seems the majority of businesses in Niverville run on their own irregular business hours. So we just go to the city where we can rely on a business being open.
Went with my husband for the first time. Food prices are very reasonable and you get huge portions. It was ten dollars for a huge bacon cheeseburger and fries and I couldn’t even eat half. Very good pub food. Nice to have somewhere in town to go for drinks or food! Our service was great and server was friendly. I suggested a shuttle bus to bomber games. Even if you had to pay it would be nice to have a shuttle to take people to football games so you could have a few beers and not worry about driving.
The first time we went was overall good. Good food, fast and friendly service. The second time things were all around bad. Our food took about 45 minutes and my mushroom swiss burger was extremely burnt and dried out. Another person in our party ordered the philly cheese steak and let me tell you, this place needs to google how to make one. What was brought out was 2 pieces of texas toast with pulled beef, raw green and red peppers, a thin slice of mozza and this was all drenched in nacho cheese. If they are doing their own take on a classic, then don’t picture a traditional philly cheese in the menu. Waiting staff stood around the bar and we had to go to the bar ourselves to have drinks refilled. This place needs to remember that only 20 minutes away are some of the best eating establishments in Canada. Repeat business is critical for restaurants and I have no intention of going back a third time.
