This has been on my bucket list for awhile.People behind the counter were super friendly.The flavour is unmistakably KFC. It was ok. They need to work on their fries. It was not very good.Gravy was on the bland side. Overall it was ok. Will I return?Yes.
I think we all know that Candy’s Chicken is the shiznit!! So crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. I feel very fortunate that they’re located only 5 minutes away from my house.
Unfortunately my order of Candy’s Chicken, was not a great experience. The chicken itself appeared to be of a poor grade. when you remove the coating the piece of chicken was hollow and dry. The breading was like rock. The chicken inside the coating was hard as well, almost dehydrated. I had ordered just the chicken only, 7 piece. It was a walk in order and it came very quickly, less than 5 minutes. The only piece that was edible was the Keel, the remainder was thrown out.
My goal has been to find the best fried chicken in the city and I have finally found it. Candy’s chicken is seasoned perfectly and the meat is nice and juicy. The home made fries are also some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices are also very fair and the customer service is top notch. I placed an order for pick-up, I arrived on time but I was told I’d have to wait 5 more minutes(no big deal, I didn’t mind). However, they felt bad for making me wait so they up sized both of my salads! Now that…is customer service.I will never go to KFC and Chicken Delight ever again. Candy’s might be a bit out of the way for most people, but I assure you the quality of food, service and their prices makes it definitely worth the trip.
Easily the best chicken in town. Never had a bad experience, unlike with other major chains… It’s always hot (delivery) and crispy, never under-cooked or bloody. The delivery is always prompt and the price is definitely a pro as well. Would always eat again/10.
The fried chicken was ok, but did not live up to the hype of all these other reviews. Crispy, but flavour was meh… underwhelming and kind of dry. The fries were not crispy, more on the limp side, and reminded me of KFC’s old fries (not good). Maybe we came on a bad night. Overall: meh
The chicken is KFC style but a million times better. Crispy, hot and fresh and seasoned just right. The fries are just great and the classic potato salad is better then anyone’s I’ve ever had. This is my family’s favourite chicken place. Would always come back.
