I was quite disappointed. Nothing tasted spectacular. I found the food to have been very average at best. Lamb was not sufficiently tender, cake overly sweet, gnocchi nothing to write home about. Service was also very average. Overpriced when considering the food quality in my opinion
Bonjour, I have been to the Promenade many times and my last experience makes me want to never go back again. I brought my daughter with me and overall feeling I felt was extremely unwelcome and shamed. When we arrived, the staff insisted on putting us into a table that was much to small for us to sit and I had to ask for another table to accommodate. During the meal, after waiting for 10 minutes, I had to ask for a refill from another server. Then, when my little girl needed the washroom, I decided to pay. During this process, their credit card machine malfunctioned with no apology for it taking 10 extra minutes to process. In fact, the server insisted I stay and pay despite my little girl asking for help in the restaurant washroom. Finally, after helping my little one, we headed back to our table only to find the same server already clearing our meal without asking. Good thing I paid for a meal only for it to go into the garbage. It was an extremely shameful and disappointing experience.
I was very impressed with the decor, the ambience, location & view of the promenade & the city of Winnipeg. But unfortunately, I found the service very slow, and my meal , along with the other guests were cold . One was served in a skillet, and the skillet was cold. My meal was very bland. Sad , as I love the location.
Went for a girls brunch. The food was wonderful and the servers were extremely friendly. The helpings were quite generous and we were happy to go home with leftovers. My only concern would be the parking -its a touch tight for anything bigger than a small hatchback. It was a great view of the bridge (and the parking lot shenanigans).
I and some friends had breakfast at the Promenade Caf and the meal was fantastic, one of the best breakfast, restaurant, meals I have had. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was a pile of perfectly cooked hasbrowns, fresh vegetables, sweet peppers, hot peppers finished off with two soft poached eggs. It was wonderful. Others had the Promenade breakfast and said the sausages were some of the best he had every had. Similarly the crepe meal was wonderful. The service was prompt, attentive and professional. The cappuccino and Americano too were excellent. All in all a really good dining experience and I would certainly return. We liked the restaurant so much, that we returned for breakfast a few days later.
Menu is quite small for choices but that is probably because they specialize in those unique plates. Good place to go if you are looking for something different. Meals were good and pricing fairly appropriate. Service was very good.
Great spot! Awesome atmosphere, watched the sun set , perfect date night ! Highly recommend the seafood gnocchi. We Will definitely be back.
