A year ago: In restaurant, food service was horrid. After being seated, it took about 20 minutes for a server to be assigned to us. At the time, there were only 2 other small tables and 2 servers on duty. After ordering, the wait time for food was about 35-40 minutes. However, the white dragon role was AMAZING. The quality of sushi was great. We then opted to use skip not to long after and was pleased.Today: We used skip to order. We were extremely disappointed with service and taste. We ordered 3 special roles and only received 2. We called the restaurant and apparently they had forgotten to pack the last roll with our order and said the skip courier should have told us. We’re kind of glad that they did forget because the sushi is subpar from what it use to be. We ordered an Alaskan roll (taste was not consistent throughout), a sea dragon roll (VERY fishy), and a T.N.T roll (not received). We will definitely not be returning.

I used to be a regular, going here to eat 2-3x/month. I found out over the summer that they have changed ownership and it honestly changed the quality, portions and prices of their food. Before the new ownership, the quality was great; very little rice, a good portion/ratio of fish/meat to filler. Now it’s all rice and filler. There’s very little meat/ fish in the rolls. As for portion, you can tell most of their rolls have decreased in size, probably because they’re using less fish and tons of filler. I ordered a bento box just today. With old owners, the bento would have fresh ice berg lettuce w/ an amazing ginger dressing and a hand full of edamame beans. The new owners (today) used wilted ice berg lettuce and their ginger dressing was very chunky and had an opaque orange color. Also, they only served 10 edamame beans in the bento (yes, I actually counted!) which were covered in salt to the point where it looked very ashy. The pricing is very different as it has drastically increased. When I first came here in 2013, the Sunomuno salad was $4.95 with a great portion. Just before the owners left (maybe spring 2017?), they increased it to $5.50, which is the price that you see on the menu currently on this website. The price on the menu today had increased to $6.50… The pricing for the Tuna and Salmon makis have increased from $3.50 to $4.95 as well.Overall, I understand the inflation of the prices for the ingredients but what i don’t understand is the changes in portions. The nigiris used to be cut to a decent thickness but now it’s cut so thin that you can see through it and see the actual chunks of wasabi and rice grains. If they only increased the price and did not change the portion sizes, I’d definitely understand and continue going there to eat. Don’t get me wrong; they have great food but everything has changed so much that it isn’t worth going here any more, in my opinion. If anyone finds out where the old owners/chefs are, please post it so we can follow them!
