This is probably one of my favorite places in Winnipeg to get boba (other than Chatime). My favorite would probably be the bubble milk tea! Or pudding milk tea or herbal jelly milk tea… so basically, I just love their regular milk tea! I’ve tried their green milk tea before but I do find that milk tea with a black tea base tastes wayyy better. Their slush drinks are also really good. I do find the milk tea quite sweet compared to other places, but you can always customize the sugar/ice anyways.

I came to this place a few years ago and loved it! Their Taro Slush and Milk Tea was really good, but I ended up loving their Warm Milk Tea the most! After revisiting multiple times, I’ve had bad experiences. Me and my siblings all got horrible stomach aches and felt sick after drinking our bubble teas. We all got different flavours and adjusted the flavours, so I can’t say exactly which ones caused the problems. We didn’t believe that Panda Tea was the problem at first so we have it a few more chances and the same stomach issues occured! We could all have very weak stomachs but it’s quite unlikely. Another thing after having their bubble tea compared to others like ChaTime or Coco Tea, is that their boba is insanely sweet. I’ve even lowered the sugar lever to its lowest but I still find it too sweet! I no longer go to Panda Tea to get bubble tea as I’ve had too many bad experiences with it!

Favourite place to get milk tea! From all the places in Winnipeg where you can get milk tea, this has been my favourite so far. They also have many other drink selections, like their slushed drinks, that are delicious as well!

I thought I would go to Panda Tea today, to give them one last chance before giving up; however, I overheard staff shouting nasty and inappropriate comments in Mandarin about a white customer, behind his back, while he’s sitting quietly in the restaurant. The nasty comments seemed to stem around a broken washroom which the customer apparently used by accident. In any case, I don’t think shouting rude comments behind customer’s backs is appropriate or excusable behaviour, in any establishment. Also, I don’t enjoy listening to loud washroom-related comments in restaurants, while I’m trying to enjoy food or drink. Finally, if there is a problem with their washrooms, perhaps they should fix the washroom, or put better signage, rather than blame their customers, especially since it is the restaurant’s responsibility to maintain working clean washrooms. In any case, I was not impressed by the staff’s behaviour or spectacle. The bubble tea is mediocre at best. The flavours are either overpowering or bland (depending on the choice of drink), and the tapioca bubbles are a little too chewy. The only thing positive about this place is that you can choose the amount of ice and sugar in your tea drink. However, I could probably ask for less sugar or ice at any another place, and I’d be very surprised if they refused to accommodate. Thus, I don’t feel their service of less sugar or ice is that special. The presentation of the deserts is quite elegant; however, the deserts themselves are overpriced, and could do with more flavouring. On one occasion, I bought a custard desert from there. The custard container was quite nice, but the custard itself is almost flavourless, and the texture resembled that of hospital jello. Additionally, I am shocked at how much the desert cost, especially for the small size. I would expect something much better or bigger, for the same price.Overall, I have been to quite a few bubble tea places and coffee shops in Winnipeg, and I would rate my Panda Tea experience as sub-par. In any case, I won’t be going there again, nor will I be recommending it to any of my friends.

Been coming to Panda Tea for years. When you come to Panda Tea, be ready to wait in line. I’ve never seen this small cafe style bubble tea spot with no line. The line is often right to the door. I’ve order many things from the menu and haven’t found one I didn’t like yet. Weren’t too impressed with their desserts, usually only come here for bubble tea. A regular favorite is lychee slush and double bang passion tea. The red wow milk and milk tea are by husbands favorites.
