Terrible service! I was meeting a friend with two young children, I am also 8 1/2 months pregnant. I went early as I know there is often a wait for a table, to secure us a spot so my friend would be able to just sit down with her kids. I waited for 30 mins while everyone who was there after me got a table. They continued to give away tables for 4 to two people parties. When I explained the situation, I was told this is policy, I offered to order my food, and let them know the hard as a rock bench was not comfortable for me to continue to sit on, they had no empathy, no understanding. Their lack of compassion was a real turn off and this is not some place I will ever go again. Their excuse was that they are a small business which i would think would be incentive to try and keep the customers you already have in the door. I understand policies, however I myself work in a service industry and know exceptions can and are often made. If I could give this establishment 0/5 I would, the food is ok, but nothing amazing, and you will get better food and service at stellas!

Was there for a Saturday breakfast. Eggs were perfect. Pancakes a bit chewy. Homemade Jam was excellent and service friendly with the coffee flowing. Overall a very good breakfast experience

Cozy little spot. The service is decent, but a little slow to refill coffee. I had a water, and she never refilled it. They also have lemon water in the fridge. coke comes in a glass bottle, no free refills. Everyone is friendly, and the food is very good. We had breakfast and both of us were very happy with it. They also give you 2 kinds of homemade jam which was awesome, and they have homemade spicy salsa which was good too. Not the best diner ive been to, but definately up there 🙂

My favorite breakfast place in Winnipeg ever! You can really taste the homemade quality of the food and every time I’ve gone back it’s been amazing every time. The servers are always friendly as well. The Bacon Benedict is definitely worth a try!!

Very Cosy Breakfast Place. Boyfriend and I came here for breakfast today. He usually cooks breakfast on Saturdays but because I’ve heard so many good things about this Diner I suggested we go out. We got here around 10:30am and didn’t have to wait for a table. We were seated at a large and comfortable booth by the window. Could easily have seated six. Nice to know if we come back with the family. We could see into the kitchen, where the chefs were going constantly. BF ordered Salmon Eggs Benedict which came with a very nice Fruit Salad – orange, grapefruit, grapes, banana, dragon fruit, pineapple. A very nice mix of fresh fruit. I had the Bacon, Mushroom and Cheese Omelet, made with three eggs. Mine came with choice of toast, I chose the marble rye, which is not a common offering in a lot of restaurants. Both plates included hash browns, which are home made and very delicious. The omelet was really good. And I tried both homemade jams – Raspberry and Marmalade, also very good. The presentation of the meals was very nice. This is a delightful little place. The server and the owner were both very friendly and attentive. It seemed a bit pricey for breakfast, but the size of the portions, and the time of day made it brunch for us. So we won’t have to eat again until later today. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to make the drive out north Main Street to just inside the perimeter highway. It’s worth the trip! We will definitely be back again.
