Went to OG for dinner on a weeknight. Not busy; no problem getting a table. One of us ordered the Chicken Giardino with Chicken Gnocchi soup and the other chose Spiralized Veggie Pasta and salad (and of course unlimited bread sticks). Maybe it was a craving or something, but the unlimited salad was especially delicious that night… So fresh! (Where do they find tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes this time of year anyway?) We both enjoyed our entrees. Prices have gone up, but lately food prices seem to be on the rise everywhere. Service was very good, as usual. OG has become one of our favourite restaurants, consistently providing quality meals (and decent-sized portions when you factor in the included soup or salad and breadsticks) at a reasonable cost, with attentive and knowledgeable servers.

I went there last night as my friend took me for dinner there for my birthday. Our server Neil was fantastic, and we had a lot of laughs with him and he was so great to us with the service and attentiveness. I would say the neutral rating was for him and of course the salad which I always crave. The food however was inconsistent in size and taste. I ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara, and my friend ordered the Tour of Italy and we split a side of grilled Parmesan zucchini. Hers was surprisingly small in size and looked like it was dried out and sitting under a heat lamp for quite sometime as the pasta was congealed and pasta dried out with the sauce. Mine was cold and tasted sweet for some reason, we tried the 1/4 of sliced zucchini and it was nothing like the pictures and tasted sugary with an odd aftertaste. So we sent it back. I think we figured out pretty quick that they are using a cheaper/fake quality of Parmesan in the kitchen than in the front and that’s what made it taste sugary. Please be consistent with the food and portion size because if it wasn’t for Neil we wouldn’t have had a good time.
