I just picked up a Poutine so I’m not sure that’s enough to review but here we go. I liked that there’s a veggie burger on the menu. You don’t often see that at burger stands. The Poutine had real curds which surprised me. The portion was bigger than I expected (I ordered a small) but the gravy was a bit bland. The service was great. I would go again to try the veggie burger.
It was meh at best. If I come to a little Burger stand I expect a home made burger and that tasteless chunk of meat had to be frozen. They have a good location and the service was fast but without good food it’s not going to work. I will not be back unless I see that they have redone their burger recipe. It’s easy to make a tasty burger guys! So do it!!
A Nice spot to eat if you are just looking for something other than Mc D’s or BK. The Prices are around $1 (or so) cheaper for the burgers, but the real deal is the 2 burgers and fri for $10. Me and my parents ordered that special plus a fatboy. The fries from pops are top notch, I really like them better than the other joints in the area and me and dad will stop here just for those from time to time. I suspect that the patties from the $10 special are of the store bought frozen kind, they are perfectly round and just have that look when you really stop and take a look at it. I’m not 100% sure if the fatboy was the same because of all the lettuce and tomato covering it. At the very least the bun was fresh and the toppings were good/generous. And for $10 you get a decent meal for two (or one)All in all Pops is a decent joint, would I have a burger there all the time? No. But if I am in the area and looking for a cheap meal, this is my go to spot.
Just spent 30 min waiting for our order of two Bacon Burgers and poutine. Waits don’t bother me per say, but when we got our food none of it was hot. The poutine fries and gravy were barely room temp, so none of the cheese curds melted. Bacon burger has barely any bacon and was under seasoned. Likely won’t be heading back.
There are a few restaurants that you will never go back to, this is one of them. Had the burger and fries and was disappointed. There are many many more burger joints that are much better. I don’t know what could be said to me to make me want to try this place again. Be wary of positive reviews from people with only 1 or 2 reviews. I’m skeptical to believe that they are real and not owner/relative posting, some even sound like an advertisement.

Best burger and fries in winnipeg. Stopped off at pops on ness and had cheese burger with fries and it was delicious. burger is fresh and moist and very flavorful and not a slop burger. fries were crispy and certainly not greasy.Prices are fair and lots of food. owners are friendly and service was quick .our new burger joint.would recommend highly
