  Great cheesecake!! You have to keep it frozen and let it thaw about 15 mins. The texture is like that of slightly firm butter and tastes that silky. It’s not the typical cheesecake texture that one would expect in that dense sort of way. Anyhow I really enjoyed it and would not recommend eating it when it comes to room temperature as it becomes too soft. Overall a very good cheesecake!

  Over-priced and not very flavorful. Selection was great but seemed like too much price for the no-frill environment. Recently had 2 cheesecake rounds for takeout with my boyfriend, but on a previous occasion ate-in and was bathroom-sick shortly after. Also, they now charge an extra fee to eat-in, which in itself is kind of rediculous.

  Bought the variety pack. There is a definite difference in the flavours. Some I liked, others not so much, but that has to do with personal preference and not the cheesecake. The taste is right up there with other cheese cakes I’ve had. There is a difference in the taste of a baked and non-baked cheese cake. I like either. Yes I will come back.

  Double D’s is a nice little place in south St. Vital.It has great signage. You can’t miss it. Being in a strip mall, there’s a lot of parking.Tables are suitable for various sized groups.I’ve been receiving their advertising and coupons for years, so I’ve always wanted to try it. My friend had been there before and liked it.The counter service was good and friendly. My friend had a very decadent looking hot beverage with whipped cream and drizzle. Mmmm.I ordered tea–there were very few selections–and a cheesecake*, so a generous pot, which I liked for it’s pourability and lack of the need for more hot water, a mug and spoon, and the plate of cheesecake were put in front of me on the counter. I did not see a tray. That would have been helpful, as it seemed that I was supposed to carry everything back to my seat. When I was awkwardly loading up my purchases help was volunteered. Much appreciated.Anyway, the bagged tea was fine. I had the *mini hazelnut cheesecake. I really like that you can purchase these lovely round mini cakes. They are a wonderful and convenient change from the massive slabs that other places provide for massive prices. Plus you can try different flavours, if you are so inclined. My total came to around $6.00, which I thought was very reasonable.The cheesecake was very cute, and drizzled with caramel sauce. I was offered fruit as well, but declined.Being a cheesecake connoisseur, I much prefer the dense, cheesy-tasting variety. Double D’s was light and fluffy, and did not weigh me down, which was a plus. However, I found my variety short on actual taste. I could not make out hazelnut at all. Perhaps another variety would have given me a different experience.Anyway, Double D’s was a nice place to share coffee and a chat.

  Best Cheesecake in St. Vital. I’ve been getting Double D’s cheesecake since it was located on St. Annes Rd. It’s amazing! I get it for all my family get togethers and special occasions, it is a little expensive but worth every penny. I find the assorted pack of cheesecake has a flavors that whole family will like! Definitely recommend it!

  Best place for drinks and treats!. I take my daughter and grandkids here whenever possible.The baking is fresh at all times and extremely tasty at all times.Their drinks are great especially for special occasions.Give them a try if you haven’t already, you won’t regret it.Pat

  Over-priced. I enjoyed both times we were here. The drinks are amazing, the cheesecakes are pretty good. The menu is way over priced.
