A friend and myself tried this as she loves coming to this place. I found the dishes very bland, skimped on the quality of the seafood, over cooked, greasy, and the menu is confusing as dishes are not properly explained on it . For example I thought we were getting a noodle dish and instead got an oil soaked Chinese donut wrapped in rice roll, and ginger beef was actually ginger tripe. The staff were not helpful and didn’t care. We didn’t get water or tea refills and we were there for quite awhile. As a dim sum lover, I actually left wanted to eat somewhere else and we didn’t bother packing up our left overs.

If there was a 0 I would pick it! I ordered $90 worth of food on Boxing Day and the next day my whole family was puking from both ends! It was all we ate so I know it was that gross unsanitary cross contaminated Chinese food we ate! We called to complain, both my kids 3 & 4 were both puking as well. The owner yelled at us telling us it was our fault and to go to the doctor. He wouldn’t give a penny back. The worst grossest restaurant ever!!! The owner doesn’t care about the food or the costumers! How is this place open! Disgusting!

The treatment I received after complaining about the quality, freshness of the food is why I’ll never go back. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I feel now like I should’ve called the police. I felt threatened, afraid and ripped off for the worst meal I’ve ever had.

Owner crazyNEVER again.I missed almost 1h30 of a party to get yelled at, accused of stealing food, told I am a liar, old food,an upset wife, and payed full price.First they could not find my wifes order, then waited 15 minutes for my pre-order that was not ready. Drove 10 minutes to get home, put out the food with other party food to be told it was the wrong order. Drove back and asked the front staff for a discount since my correct order had sat there for almost an hour. Owner came from the back and lost his mind. His first words to me were to yell YOUR FAULT while waving his finger at me to argue in front of about 25 people in the restaurant for what seemed like forever. I recorded part of our conversation. I cant wait for the translation.Horrible service!

Service is not good. I’m not looking for my waitress to be at my table every second but when your little one makes a spill. I except someone to come over and help me clean the spill and not have to go over and grab napkins from other tables. Food is decent but terrible service.

It is pretty good. I had shrimp dumplings, and seafood dumplings. The skin did easily fall off the dumplings. The custard buns are good too. Pretty standard dim sum. I haven’t tried anything else. It is moderately priced.

Victoria Seafood seems to be the only place to order dim sum in St Vital, however, on weekends they open at 11 am so don’t arrive early for breakfast. They have a decent price ($2.75) for most of the dim sum menu during prime hours (11 am-3pm, on holidays until 4pm). Each dish is steamed/fried to order; no carts. On our most recent visit we had pea pod tips with shrimp dumplings, stuffed eggplant, Victoria pork dumplings, steamed BBQ pork buns, soft rice noodles stuffed with shrimp, and fried and steamed rice noodle H.K. style. For the rice noodle dishes, there was less sauce for soaking, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for those concerned with salt intake. No dish was stand out or exceptional, but no dish was unpleasant either. It’s rare to see the H.K. style rice noodle, which is a fried Chinese donut wrapped with rice noodles.I usually order a ho fan with beef for dinner with no complaints. This is a standard family-run Chinese restaurant. Our most recent server was pleasant and attentive.
