Came here for some ice cream last night. I got a cookie dough twister. It was very good ice cream with a nice creamy texture and the twister wasn’t overly sweet either which was nice.

Decent drive-in kind of place. Stopped in yesterday afternoon for the first time.I had a burger and fries, and my lovely wife had some perogies.Everything was good. Burgers are home-made, which is a nice change. They’ve got an EXTENSIVE menu…….pretty much anything you can think of, they have. Kind of an odd burger menu, though…..it’s organized in a half-dozen sections based on what toppings come with the burger, with differing prices for each. Kinda weird, but whatever.I’d go back, though they close for the season this Friday. Maybe next year…..

Nothing good about this snak. Once this place may of been selkirk tradition but now its garbage. Fries garbage, hotdog garbage, burger garbage. Nothing has shack style flavors. No joy put into the cooking of this food like it used to be,I will never return and am disappointed I will never get to treat my child to this which was once a tradition for me as a child on route to the cottage.

Snak shak is a Selkirk tradition! The burgers and hot dogs as well as the ice cream things are all good. The fries are sort of blah. As of 2012 they accept debit cards as well as cash.
