Had the French Dip ( added the onions, peppers and cheese, extra charge) with fries. It was very good. The fries were good. Actual took this as ‘take out’ and ate at the machine while playing, so we were eating out of a box but didn’t find it too inconvenient. I was very pleased how good the sandwich was. Good value for the cost. Bun was fresh and soft, roast beef was delicious, as was the au jus.I would order this again.
Very disappointingWent for the first time in about 2 years. It was rib night-oh boy! But it should have been called rib jerkey night… they opened for dinner at 4, we were there at 430 so it was definitely NOT because of the food drying out in the trays. They made the ribs this way on purpose! The roast beef was pretty good but was medium to well, no chance of juice from these. The lasagna was very good, and the chicken was ok as well. Won’t be back any time soon….
Great!
Either cold or old! Roast beef; rare or shoe leather! Roasted chicken, dry in 3 inches of soup like liquid??$15. with a card??? Had to get one, otherwise pay $17. Don’t be fooled by the pleasing Eaton’s type atmosphere …. this place looks great but the food is terrible! Deserts 4 out of 10; the rest, 1/2 out of 10! Would not go back.
Just had a brunch buffet with my wife. I have to say, it was REALLY good! We arrived at 11am so we could ensure the freshest experience. And they delivered in spades. We both had eggs Benedict with bacon, I added the simmered fish in lemongrass and butter (to die for), my wife added some fresh fruit and a grilled tomato. Our server, a very pleasant Filipino woman, was polite, helpful, funny, and delivered great service always ensuring we had hot coffee and topped up OJ! Right from the beginning, as we entered the building to when we left, we encountered exceptional service, kind and helpful staff, really pleasant environment. I have to say, since they’ve drastically increased the price of the buffet (used to be $10 now $20) it has really weeded out the riff raff and constant complaining that was so ramped at one point. My wife and I are avid Cruise Ship vacationers and we found the experience at this restaurant to very similar to the Cruise Ship experience, exceptional. Thanks for making our Anniversary/Valentines brunch so special.
HOSPITAL FOOD IS BETTER. Lmao the other review is dead on.They may have improved as I know Regent has.But clearly when a government gets into a businessand hire nothing but minimum wage help. And haveridiculous rules ( for examaple not getting a menu in a buffet restaurant as the bar has the only menu) What can you expect. What you can expect is someone just one person who knows something about food service.Desserts can come from other places then McCains.Roast beef can be made rare and medium rare.Past can be done so that it is not mush. This place can even ruin soups with way to much salt. But its a buffet. just a really really really bad one.Save your money for the vegas buffets. They cost twice as much but they will only give you 200 or 300 different types of food prepared well, served hot.Michele’s…Before their try any of these with 2 km.Mama’s noodle houseMcDonaldsBurger KingThe Spring Roll. It’s very rare that I don’t like anything at a buffet. I mean even at a crappy one I can usually eat something but this one was terrible. It’s the restaurant located in the McPhillips Station Casino that serves up cheap buffet food – cheap meaning price and quality. I’ve actually dined here twice for lunch (not willingly) and on both occasions the food was gross. The dining area actually looks nice in a traditional sense but once you head towards the cafeteria area where the buffet is served everything starts sliding downhill. Hate to say it, but the food looks similar to hospital cafeteria food. Maybe hospital food looks better cause you think the sanitary conditions are better. I don’t think things were actually dirty but sometimes buffets can give off this feeling that the food has been sitting here for hours and too many people have been poking around this food and that really grosses me out. The salad area looked kinda sad. The meat the carving station is usually not the best – one time it was this fatty hunk of ham. It was actually the worst piece of ham ever as it was unbearably salty. The side dishes seem to be sitting too long as the pasta was mushy. The rice was dried out and the veggies (which looked like those cheap frozen perfectly cut veggie mixes of green beans and carrots) had turned to a kind of murky colour. I think the only things worth eating were the soup because it was hot and you can’t get sick from that. And the wide selection of desserts. Service was good as plates were cleared quickly and they were really friendly. But here’s a tip, if you happen to find yourself hungry and confused at the McPhillips casino go to the McDonalds just past the main entrance instead.
