Went here a couple days ago and I have to say after reading all the positive reviews, I was very disappointed. The tocino was very bland as well as the garlic fried rice. I guess I’m comparing it to the other Filipino restaurants in Winnipeg- like Myrna’s and Kalan. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but I just wish the food was as good as the service.
Went there today and ordered the big flipino breakfast. Price and Portion was good. The Tapa was more on the thin and dried side. One big negative thing that unfortunately will give you a negative rating is that the rice and eggs was heavily salted! More so on the eggs. I couldn’t finish it. This is coming from a guy who goes for wings every wing night and enjoys salt and pepper wings. Please, watch out for that.
If your looking for a diamond in the rough this is the place!! After having an appointment around the area I decided to drop by this tiny restaurant on Fife. It was above expectations. The menu was a short and simple, but very interesting twists to classic dishes, with great prices. It was difficult to choose so I ordered two from the menu which was both better then I expected. Pulled pork Mac and cheese!!! The contrast of sweet, savory and rich was spot on… I demolished that. I also ordered the Shepherd’s pie. I didn’t finish this because of I was full from the Mac and cheese. But the ratio of meat to potato was great, crispy edges and balanced flavor of ingredients, I was happy. I will for sure return when I am in town
Deeeelicious! No gimmicks,no frills, just amazing, mouth-watering comfort food! Anytime I need a heartymeal, Munchbox always leaves me satisfied! Not only is the food full offlavour, but the portions are huge and you definitely get your moneys worth. Favouritesinclude the Filipino breakfast with eggplant and tapa or corned beef, and thepulled pork mac & cheese. Yumm! The eggplant and tapa are always marinatedto perfection. And the pulled pork mac & cheese just melts in your mouth! Thelocation is easy to get to and theres always parking available. The restaurantitself only has a few seats for dining in, but the friendly staff always makeme feel welcome. Two thumbs waaay up!
The name of this place definitely suits it! If you are looking for delicious comfort food to munch out on, this is the place! The Filipino breakfast is amazing, especially the cornedbeefsilog! The Euge’s Pie is amazing! The pulled pork mac and cheese is amazing and their specials are always on point! The prices are more than reasonable (especially for the amount of food you get) and the owners are super friendly. A definite recommend!
It was awesome crazy big portions and breakfast all day, my kind of place! Also their are house specials everyday and it’s different everyday! Must try it’s definitely one of the hidden gems in Winnipeg
This place is fantastic! A great little breakfast and lunch spot right in the Inkster Industrial Park, everything is home made and fresh, definitely no processed lunch meats here! I’ve had the pulled pork mac and cheese (awesome!) the grilled ham and cheese (outstanding!) and the grilled beef and cheese (best beef sandwich I’ve ever had!). The sandwiches are quite large and I have trouble finishing one. They are super tasty and fresh. The staff are super friendly and love to talk to everyone who comes in. I hope this place is around for a long time, I will be back over and over!Tried the lasagna today, it was awesome!!!!
