Rude Staff. It was three in the afternoon as we were passing through town and decided to stop for something light to eat. We ordered soup. We had not been in this establishment before, so I had to ask where the pepper was. The woman motioned over to a side table. There was a dish full of pink and white packages (salt) and a dish full of black and white packages (pepper). I grabbed four packages of pepper and poured them into my soup, when I noticed that some of it was salt. I looked closer at the packages and noticed that one of the packages in the middle was a black and white package labelled salt. I scooped it out with my spoon but when I tasted the soup it was far too salty. The soup was obviously salty to begin with. I went to the counter and explained what happened to the male staff member, and asked for another cup of soup . He very rudely said if you want another you will have to pay for it. I explained what happened again (it was a $3 cup of soup, so it was not about the money, just the principle). He condescendingly said that I should know the difference between salt and pepper, so I showed him the black and white SALT package. He then said that I should know how to read and that it is not their problem if I don’t know how to read or that I am stupid. It was only soup, so not a big deal, but I could not believe how rude he was.
