I’ve been here back when it was a Forbidden Flavours, was sad to see FF close down but Woodfire Deli has been an amazing replacement. The food is fresh, local and tasty as heck. The restaurant reminds me of small delis in Montreal or Toronto, not rural Manitoba so this is a hidden gem that’s only going to get more popular over time.Their roast beef sandwich was juicy, full of flavour and easily one of the best I’ve had – I’m not a fan of roast beef. They serve beers from Half Pints, Fort Garry and Farmery which is also a rarity for Manitoba restaurants.. no Bud Light here!

What a great addition to the community , everything’s so fresh and unique . Best coffee in Souris hands down .
My lunch was killer! The pizza tasted so fresh. Manitoba craft beer was a nice surprise. Got cookies and croissants to go, and had two slices of pizza left for lunch tomorrow. It was like I was in the city. What a gem. Worth the drive from anywhere in the westman area. Going to pick up a latte tomorrow.
So-so. Too trendy for this small town, healthy ingredients with no concern for carbs or calories most salads are pasta, potato & beans, (carbs, carbs, carbs) fancy named foods goat cheese, cilantro and asparagus are not what is expected on a pizza so they need a new name for their creations as they are not really pizza in the traditional sense more something like hot flatbread exquisitly topped may be more suited, all in all the food is edible if your a hungry man one pizza won’t fill that gap toppings are distributed sparingly. The establishment is clean looking nicely presented however no table service and clean up your own dishes afterward not a good thing as on occasion tables tend not to get wiped afterward between customers because they already look clean. The specialty coffees may be good have not tried them at 5 bucks a pop however the house coffee was served from a thermos and was old and cold, tea was served from the water warmer on the coffee machine just in a cup with a bag no teapot and no boiled water the way tea should be made is with boiled water….pity I give this place a 5 out of 10 after 3 visits dropping more than 120.00 bucks I have not left satisfied it is not that cheap a place to eat which is ok I will happily pay good money for good food and hope to feel satisfied afterward that did not happen here I give them credit they are trying hard and any business this small town gets is a bonus. When you visit a good restaurant by the time you leave your already planning your next visit or thinking of it anyway this place I can take it or leave it. Your average red blooded farmer is not impressed by the menu this is more suited to people who prefer to drink hot lemon water.
