Best banh mi sandwiches in Winnipeg hands down! Nothing else compares. Meat to bun ratio is on point. The couple who own Khanh Hoa are the nicest people on Earth. Sargent Ave location closed. Their new location is at 834 Notre Dame Ave.
Don’t let the location or appearance scare you! The grilled chicken Banh Mi is fantastic. The bread is soft with a nice crust that won’t destroy your mouth. The chicken is slightly saucy with great flavour and the classic toppings of pickled carrot and daikon, red Thai chilies, and cilantro complete this banger!FYI: the menu is small but sufficient! They are authentic so their English is limited but I had no problem with that.
