I have been here a few times now and have not had a bad meal. I like numbers 5,7 and 8. If you want a spicy sub just ask them and they will make them that way.
First time customer and I’m impressed with their food. I ordered the cold cuts sandwich (banh mi thit nguoi) and grilled pork sandwich (banh mi . I think I liked the cold cuts one than the grilled pork but they’re both good. I also had their rau cau (pandan and coconut jelly, and vietnamese coffee and coconut jelly each priced at $1.49) and banh flan ($2.99) and didn’t disappoint. I like how they have a wide selection for their Banh Mi. I would definitely try their other food and come back. They also sell Bubble Teas and Milk Teas, and other Vietnamese desserts.
More restaurant than Grocery. My wife and myself found this place by chance and we love it!!!! We’re from Steinbach and we’re driving in the City and decide to stop for some food; we were going to leave (didn’t realize it was more deli than grocery) but we looked inside and decide to try it… we’ll we ordered the beef Lemongrass sub and it’s was magnificent… now it looked fairly normal but the difference was the taste; a combination of various flavors assaulted our senses and we are now hooked… it seemed like every bite was better than the last… also the sub was made made with really good bread and we will certainly be coming back!!!
Cute Place good food.. There isn’t much in the way of Grocery in this place but it is an awesome place to grab a reasonably priced Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. I also really like the iced coffee they serve here. I’ve eaten my way across the menu board and found everything I have tried to be good. The bread they use is fresh and while they have limited cooking facilities and sometimes have to reheat things (you do have to realize there is no way they could serve this stuff completely made to order from scratch, if you think any place in Winnipeg, that isn’t full service is in the back cooking you an individual serving of meat for your sandwich you’re off the mark) The type of meat they use has to be roasted in advance or you would be waiting hours for it or they would cook it up in five minutes and it would be tough as nails. What maters it is it is cooked and seasoned properly, and the vegetables they add to it have in my experience always always been fresh. I have also had polite and prompt service every time I have been here. It is my go to place if I need to stock pile some grab and go lunches for the week and I don’t want to break the bank.
Banh Mi!. My new place for banh mi hands down, love that they put lots of EVERYTHING and that the bread isn’t hard.
What a great place! Welcome addition to the neighbourhood.. So pleased that Linlan is in the neighbourhood! I ordered the Beef Lemongrass with Peanuts Sub and the Grilled Pork Sub, Salad Rolls and Spring Rolls to go. The Subs were sublime and delicious!! Tons of flavour! The Salad Rolls were also quite good, very generous with the ingredients and fresh. I wanted to try the Beef Stew but was sold out. Wonderful cheap eats! $3.50 for a Sub!
