Absolutely outstanding. My favorite place to go for high tea. Everything was delicious. Service was fabulous and the server was very polite and seemed to know just when I needed more hot water. I was worried I was dressed up a bit too much, but actually this is a place you can wear your fanciest hat to.

My wife and friend went there for the first time as new members of the community (being fans of tea houses), the server treated them as if they were bother and did not feel welcomed. Prices are a bit beyond what it offers. Haven’t not gone back since.

As a frequent visitor of McLeod House, may I offer the following commentary? The great: comfortable, historic setting; gift shop; the service; the teas; the soups; the salads; the desserts! The good: the sandwiches – nothing outstanding, but always well done. I’d recommend the special of the day if it’s available – it always seems to be a step above the regular sandwich offerings. My only caveat are that the prices have become a bit high for a simple meal as the place has become more popular (and busier!) over the years. That said, if you’re in town and you’re watching your money closely, you should still stop in and treat yourself to a tea/coffee and dessert – you’ll be glad you did!

Country Tea House not too far from Winnipeg. My friend and I went to High Tea at Mcleod House Tea Room. We would’ve liked to get the tea leaf reading, but unfortunately they were fully booked. The cost of high tea is $16-$17 and includes tea of your choice, dainties, scones, and typical sandwiches. There are plenty of loose leaf teas to choose from. The food comes on a tiered tray with 2 of everything. The tray looked very empty and the portions looked very small and bite size. I was worried that it wouldn’t be enough food, but surprisingly by the end I was full. The service was pleasant and refilled our tea pots with hot water. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the food was good and filling.

I’m not the target demographic but…. As a nineteen year old university student I always feel very out of place here; the atmosphere and decor is like a cozy aunts house or a hip grandmothers place and it’s always packed with older women. HOWEVER, the food is UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS. The corned beef sandwich is so good I routinely drive out from winnipeg just to eat it. I’m glad I don’t live in Stonewall or I would spend every last penny I have on their roast beef and their skor bar brownie. I also have never once been disappointed with their soups which are always amazing and always delicious. The tea selection is good, I’m a casual tea enthusiast so I appreciate their little strainers, adorable teacups and that they use loose leaf tea. But the biggest thing here is the corned beef sandwich, the soup and their desserts. I will come here again and again and again and again and

Tea Quiero. Went for lunch with a group of colleagues and had a delightful time! The atmosphere was cosy and charming. The majority of us had the same tea…strawberry awake I believe it was called, a mixture of green and mate. We all LOVED it! I had a tuna salad sandwich and a blue cheese pear and walnut sandwich. The sandwich was made with this fresh multi-grain bread and the mango chutney was a great touch. The salad was fantastic. Service was prompt and friendly. Afterwards we had a chance to check out the giftware, etc. upstairs. I will indeed be making a return trip for high tea this summer!
