Have dined here happily many times over the years BUT our last visit was a disaster!The fish dinner was always a crispy, delicious serving of Manitoba pickeral but we were shocked to discover that a fish dinner was now a tasteless, soggy seving of pollock.Salads are whole, uncut leafs of lettuce, covered with spiral of carrots and onions.Cost cutting because the casino is not making enough money?Support our Manitoba fishers!
Their food is just OK. Nothing to rave about. One of the reasons people come here is the casino and entertainment. Fast typical pub food at it’s best- comfort and greasy! Be back just for the entertainment.
My husband and I love coming here just to hang out. Cheap food and drinks. We always share the turkey club sandwich with fries. Only 10$ and it’s huge and delicious! We always sit at the bar and get really great service. Only negative comment would be the inconsistency in drinks from the different bartenders. They all seems to make things a bit differently. I’ve had some pretty shotty caesars and margaritas from some of the bartenders, but then again some really great ones from others. All in all though, we really love coming here!
I’m 50/50. I been here on the second week of September for the first time. I’ve never eaten here though I’ve visited Club Regent multiple times for the sake of the Club Card perks. So a couple friends and I were contemplating on whether we should get the buffet or hit Toukies Lounge. We got seated, ordered, and it took a heck of a long time for our food to be served to us!Other tables who has been seated far after us has been served but us? I had to sit though football playing on the TV not really aware with what was going on and talking with my friends to kill time as we waited. One of m friends were starting to get really upset at our server but I told him it’s probably the ribs he ordered and so forth… When we finally got our food, my other friend didn’t like her meatloaf since IT WAS COLD. My burger was filling but what disappointed me was it wasn’t as warm as I was hoping it would be when it was freshly served. Fries were a little bland — I kicked myself knowing I should of went for the poutine! And as for the guy with the ribs? Less meat, more bone, a little burnt. I’d like to give this place a second try though I’m on the fence with them (kinda hoping to get a poutine and a hot dog), but I’m not sure when. But this first impression better not be the last impression I get from this place. At least I won money that night, so it was kind of like a FREE meal.
