Just had the chicken, spinach and plantain combo. The chicken was delicious, however, I was disappointed that it was only a small chicken leg. Portion was very small (only about three bites of chicken) and it was messy to eat. The plantain portion was very generous, but I did not detect any of the ‘African spices’ that were promised. The spinach was the highlight of the dish prepared with tomatoes and onions. I could have skipped the chicken and had a double portion of the spinach. It also paired nicely to the unseasoned plantain. On a previous visit, I tried the cassava, which was crisp and hot and very enjoyable.
Great food – unique truck :). I ordered the Chicken Combo (you can pick two sides) with the vegetable samosa and rice for $12. Reasonable price. Probably the BEST samosa I’ve ever eaten! Would definitely go back and try the Beef curry next time (with the potatoes).
