Amazing! The mocha was great. Also tried two dishes : meatballs over mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, and the vegan pizzette. Every bite was fantastic. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Bumped into this place today and thought I would give it a try. The meat pizza, with its artichoke hearts and ham was fresh and delicious. The adding of fresh greens was a nice, unexpected touch and accentuated the entire flavour. I also tried the cabbage soup which was hot and hearty with big chunks of cabbage, potato, carrots and celery. It had a slight spice to it along with the a tartness only cabbage can supply. Unfortunately, I had to take mine to go, and had to say no to a dessert. But I assure you, I will be back to sit down, and enjoy the experience to the fullest. A nice addition to Notre Dame for the person not wanting to go to one of the many fast food places in the area. Well done!

A very clean and modern decore. Super friendly staff and the best part is they truly understand gluten-free. Highly recommend trying this place if you’re in the area of the Health Sciences Centre.

I am a very big meat eater, but I was satisfied with my meatless lunch here! I got the veggie chilli and it was great! Not super heavy like your usual meat chilli, and the corn bread it comes with was a very nice touch for some sweetness. I also got the potato Galette and it was decent. Super friendly staff and chill environment. Being inside the decore and layout made me feel like I was in the exchange. The only thing I didn’t like was that the person in front of me beat me to the last sausage fennel roll, haha! Once things are gone, they are gone so best time to go would be around lunch I would say. I’ll be going back to try more for sure.

I am in this area a lot so I am always looking for a different lunch option and BH fit the bill. The location is not the greatest but fairly convenient. To be honest I didn’t expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. The inside is very bright, open and clean. You walk in to a menu on the wall and a cold and warm food case on your left, order and pay at the counter and seat yourself. Cutlery and water available on a adjacent counter.I have been many times and have tried several items to varying enjoyment.Gluten free savoury quiches – these change every week, always a meat and vegetarian option. I have had maybe three different ones and enjoyed them all. The crust is fresh and always uniform. Filling is tasty and has a good texture. They top it with lightly dressed greens that add a nice freshness.Potato galette – I had this the first time I visited and was very disappointed. I found the potatoes to be very hard, to the point where my knife was struggling to cut through. Shame because as a gluten free, vegan item it could appeal to a lot of people. Possibly it was just that particular slice I had and maybe experience has improved their recipe. I would consider a retry.Sausage roll – this has got to be one of my favourite things I have had. It is simple but done so well. The sausage is thick but very well seasoned; with the fennel coming in strong but not overpowering. The pastry is flaky but not dry. I have even had it a day later reheated in a toaster oven and it was just as delicious. For $4.25 it makes a hearty breakfast.Breakfast empenada – this was another pass for me. The dough itself was tasty but quite heavy. The filling distribution was very uneven; one side all filling and the other none at all. Taste was very bean heavy, and with the egg it had quite a mushy mouth feel throughout. Personally would not order this again.Salads – The first salad I had was the one with the zucchini noodles. It was definitely fresh and healthy but halfway through I grew tired of the noodles. I much prefer the cobb salad which has the bacon and chicken to break up all the veg. The blue cheese is a nice tangy addition as well. Love the fact that you can choose your own dressing. I enjoyed both the Beverly, which isn’t overly gingery, and the D’Arlington caper. They also have a few desserts that I would be interested to try.Overall I think this place is a success. They could stand to open up and vary a bit more in their menu but as they’re still relatively new it;s a fine start. Their weekly specials are a good indicator as to what they could branch out to. Everything is home made and the owner(s) take a real interest in their customer’s which gets them that extra mile. ( I have never had a bad experience customer service wise.) Bottom line, it’s a local business, using local ingredients to make fresh tasty food. I could definitely see them expanding in the future.

Easy walk from a course I was attending at HSC. The inside was clean, well decorated and much larger than I expected. I had the beet happening salad and chai latte. Both were really tasty. My latte was perfect and hand crafted at order. I loved that you get to pick your salad dressing. So many vegan choices. I will definetley be back. Limited hours but worth fitting into your schedule.
