Chicken for when you want to feel trashy!. This car wash, laundromat and convenience store combination offers pizza (by the slice or whole pies), fried chicken and potato wedges, along with slushies, Old Dutch chips and other standard convenience store fare. The pizza is pretty terrible with the lowest quality ingredients around, but the chicken is trashy glory (when fresh), super crispy exterior and juicy interior, and the wedges are serviceable. Watch out though, if it looks like it’s been sitting for hours under the heat lamp, don’t bother. I’ve seen some questionable food handling in the past at this local, but things have taken a notable upturn when the place went under new ownership or management in summer 2012. There’s something sort of fantastic about eating fried chicken while doing a load of laundry surrounded by the quality local colour of the West End!
