Charbroiled beef sub for $4.50 taxes in! Also, they’re delicious! Hospital green wall, Vietnamese YouTube on TV, and freshly made ingredients. My regular spot for sub takeout.
Order 4 Bhn M G (Shredded Chicken Sub) – 2 glasses of water came out fast – crusty bun, fresh veggies and chicken – YUM! 4 subs for $18 we loved it!
I was here last night for dinner with a friend and enjoyed the food, very much. The bread on the Bahn Mi was the best I’ve had anywhere… it was warm and soft inside with a good crispy, crunchy outside. The pate was a little on the salty side as mentioned in a previous review, but I actually liked it that way. The pork chop was SOOOOoooooo tender–it was melt in my mouth. I honestly don’t think I’ve EVER had pork that tender in my life. The service was a single man for the whole restaurant, whom I am sure was also doing the cooking. His English wasn’t the best so he asked that we write our order down on a sticky note (which he provided). I was glad that he thoroughly reviewed the order before proceeding to go to the back and cook it, and everything came out just great. I will definitely be back to check out the pho, as when I saw some go by our table, it looked fantastic!
This is a cozy little restaurant, a little beat up but really nice. The family owned place has great pho. The Rare beef pho is one of my favorites and my girlfriend loves eating the vermicelli here. delicious foods. waiters are a couple of boys, seems to be the owners sons they are every friendly and serviceable. This is a great place to eat if you are looking for a Vietnamese place.
I ordered the deep fried spring roll and pork vermicelli. My guest ordered the grilled pork chop and fried egg on rice. Everything was fine until my friend asked for a take out container. She was putting the rest of her food in the container when we saw a huge black FLY mixed in with the rice.. It was at the bottom. We were absolutely disgusted! When we told the server/owner he said something we did not understand as he had a very thick accent. When we tried to ask for a discount of some sort he refused to give us one nor did he offer to get us something else. Will never be eating here again.
They have decent banh mis here. I usually get their Banh Mi Thit Nguio and it’s good. Just the right amount of crunchiness in the bread. Although sometimes I find their pate a litle bit on the salty side and could use a little more meat on the bread. Also tried their Hu Tieu Nam Vang and it was good as well. The broth was not salty, just the right amount of flavour and it was packed with meat and veggies as well. I like their Goi Cuon (Shrimp and Pork salad rolls) here as well, really like how they make their hoisin+peanut sauce here, not too dark and with just the right amount of sweetness to it.
Seafood Soup. This is the best pho soup in winnipeg
