I was here for breakfast. Service sucks food sucked. Went and spoke to manger and she didn’t care. The cutlery was dirty cups looked like they weren’t even washed. So disappointed. Not going back here to eat again.
I came here with my coworkers before a big meeting we were having at the hotel. Everyone was excited as it was Turkey Tuesday. The menu sounded really delicious but was a huge let down. The turkey itself was really good, but everything else fell short. I found a lot of the inedible. The stuffing was awful, along with the corn and mashed potatoes. The gravy had a strange flavour to it also. The borscht and sweet potato casserole were the highlight for me but everything else was disappointing. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Get What You Pay For. There’s nothing really special about any of the food.Sometimes you get decent food and other times certain items are not so tasty. The service can be spotty at times,depending on the server. All around the variety of the buffet isn’t so bad.I mainly stick to the soups,veggies and fruits. The odd time Ill head for the main course which is also a hit and miss.Today the server gave me pork chops by mistake instead of steak as I went up for my wife. So I ate the chops n she went back for the stake. suprisingly the chops were decent,considering I hardly eat meat.You can’t expect top of the line food for 20$ at an all you can eat buffet. If your hungry and wanna stuff your face,it’s passable.
Memorable for the Wrong Reasons. My wife and I were heading to an afterwork meeting at CanadInns Polo Park last night. With limited time between work and the meeting we decided to stop for something quick at Aaltos. After looking over the buffet offering I decided I would order off the menu instead. I ordered a full plate of nachos with the optional beef. After waiting a long time the waitress came by to inform me that that kitchen had made an error and cooked the nachos with the chicken instead. Had this wrong order be offered to be with the offer to drop the up-charge for the meet that would have been a reasonable compromise, however instead the kitchen did not send out the wrong order and opted on their own to remake it as ordered. At one point I was told the order would be out in about three minutes, yet after waiting far more than three minutes it was still not out. At that point it was over 25 minutes since I had placed my order and time was really starting to run out. My order finally showed up and the kitchen had completely burned the food to the point the chips were actually black and the smell of burnt food coming off the plate was over whelming. When the situation was explained to the staff they removed the item from our bill and offered me a free soup, salad and dessert buffet, which I turned down as I had ordered off the menu as I did not want that buffet to begin with.Ended up leaving there after about 45 minutes still hungry and extremely disappointed. This just further reenforces to me how this place continues on its long decline.
Disgusting. I wish it was possible to give – stars. The atmosphere is terrible (like a cafeteria). The restaurant was empty and it still took 45 minutes to get our food. I had a steak sandwich that was overcooked and bland. The fries tasted like they came from a fryer that has never had its oil canged. My wife had a salad which turned out to be fulll of brown lettuce. To sum it up; terrible atmosphere and service at an even more terrible price. AVOID it.
Time for Canadinns to revamp their food services.. They’ve been doing the buffet thing for far too long. The food quality is way down from where it used to be. Far too much recyling of food to the next days dish. I understand that wasting food is not desireable, but really, how many days are you gonna push last weeks ham with different sauses on it?The dessert buffet is gross. All the cakes are dried out and pastey. The fuit is often low quality and on the verge of going bad. I really just do not enjoy eating at Aaltos any more. Time for them to change, or just go away.
