Visited Winnipeg from Calgary. Always had Kalan Breakfast during the duration of the trip. We mostly ordered tapsilog over the phone and pick it up 15 minutes later. The food is really tasty and that is one of the reasons we always went back for more. I’ve read some of the reviews and some complained about the price but when breakfast is under $9 for quality food, what can really go wrong? Try spending $17 for chicken and waffles at a modern class restaurant to find out that the portion is really small and you end up feeling hungry afterwards.We were having a party on another day and we ordered their pork sisig, bopis (pork lung), fried rice, a seafood hot pot special, and other things I have forgotten. All their dishes were very good but the broth from the hot pot special was MONEY! I think to improve the hot pot special, they just needed to add or offer noodles.Overall, I give the restaurant a 4 based on the quality of food, accuracy of order, and courteous staff. There’s always room for improvement.
