Ordered delivery, and will never order again. Somehow bland and overly garlicky at the same time- chow mein was a mass of corn-starch, shrimp vermicelli mostly tasteless noodles, with some scorched cabbage and a few acrid little shrimps. Chicken balls were mostly batter- though crispy and thankfully fried in clean oil. Food arrived hot. No rice came with meal, nor chopsticks, or even the small touch of a few fortune cookies.
Best kungpo chicken ever!!
I have been to Azalea Chinese Restaurant many times. The food is delicious, and the price is cheap. They have lunch and dinner. I think it is good for students because the restaurant is near the University of Winnipeg, about a 5 min walk, and I think the service is so good, I have a true story, One week ago,I went to this restaurant, Someone was ordering, but he didn’t know what to get, then the waiter gave him a picture menu.It was an example of the great service at this restaurant.I think the food is very delicious,I really like the mushroom chicken,it’s amazing, and the dumplings are special.I really love them,If you work or study near the University Of Winnipeg,Azalea Chinese restaurant is the best choice for lunch and dinner.
Tradational and American Chinese Food. Stopped here for a quick bite last night with my wife between work and our evening activities. Due to the short amount of time we had available we quickly ordered three of the American style Chinese food dishes we commonly get. All were delivered to the table with enough warmth you could tell they had been freshly cooked and did not spend a lot of time sitting waiting to be brought to the table. One of the nice touches was individual dipping dishes for the side of sweet and sour sauce rather than just one with the item ordered. In terms of the quality of the food we had no complaints. What really stood out for us was that when we were seated we were automatically offered both the American and traditional menus. The traditional menu has English names that are reasonably descriptive of the dishes. About three-quarters of the dishes also are feature in nicely sized coloured photos. Having occasionally had traditional dishes from friends and co-workers we are are hoping to return when we are not as rushed to try some items from the traditional menu.
