My partner and I were looking for a late dinner on a Sunday. We love Japanese and Korean food and we found Bimi which was open until 9:30. We previously had good experience ordering delivery with the fried chicken and tteokbokki, but the meal we had tonight was probably the worst we’ve ever had at any restaurant. My partner ordered the shoyu ramen and it was massively disappointing. The soup was bland, the noodles were overcooked, and the toppings consisted of only sparse pieces of onions and chicken. Instant ramen would have been more appealing. With so many other places in the city to enjoy ramen, you should never order it here.We ordered pork tonkatsu as an appetizer and it was okay for what it was. It did only come out after my partner received his meal though. The portion was big and while the breading was crispy, it was falling off the meat pieces.I ordered their new menu item which was the salmon and avocado bowl and it took a long time to prepare. I watched my partner eat his meal for at least 15 minutes before my meal came out (and watched people who came after us receive their meal first). This was after about 30 minutes since we ordered. The presentation was nice and the bowl was bigger than expected, but the salmon and avocado weren’t the freshest and the sauce oversaturated the other ingredients (the rice was swimming in the sauce). It was difficult to eat and I left more than half the bowl. The sauce was a wasabi mayo, but it was strangely too sweet. The servers were friendly, but when we sat down we weren’t asked if we wanted anything to drink. My partner had a salad as a side and I had miso soup and when we finished, the server only cleared one of the empty dishes and left the other on the table. The timing of the restaurant is off in terms of when the meals came out. Instead of boasting an extensive menu with various mediocre Japanese and Korean dishes, they might benefit from choosing fewer dishes that they do well.

Ordered one of the Ramens. It was literally no name brand instant noodles added with borderline raw onions, pulled apart chicken from a rotisserie you can get at a grocery store, and some funky tasting mushrooms. That wasn’t even the worst part. As I was walking down the stairs barefoot I had stepped on a sharp bone (maybe from porkbone soup who knows) and had experienced the most amount of pain I thought I could never imagine just from stepping on something. Coming from a person with a fairly high pain tolerance. I do not understand how this place is still in business nor understand why people choose to eat here. At least the server was considerate enough to take off 50% of the bill. Could actually pay less than a dollar for instant ramen.

Ordered food through Skip the Dishes. Sushi was fishy and dried out. Not passable fishy but spoiled fishy. Ikura (salmon eggs) were black. Usually this means they are gone bad too. The pork belly I ordered (cold dish) Was wrapped in plastic wrap and had fuzzy white mold growing on it. No banchan was included on delivery order (I asked) Owner either is going out of business or only cares about profit. No pride here. Waste of over $55.00 as entire meal is being tossed. Didn’t bother calling Skip as they call the restaurant. If the owner had any pride he would not serve this.

I usual never do reviews. But this is honestly one of worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, just 2 other tables. But the wait for 4 basic rolls took over 40mins. And the avocado in the rolls were all brown.

I ordered lunch for take out the other day, 3 rolls. The Korean Beef roll was terrible; the meat was tough and obviously cooked days ago. The avocado in the avocado roll was browned, the tempura flakes on my third roll were so crunchy they seemed like plastic, and the sushi rice overall was lacking in flavour.

The sweet and spicy beef was good, but I wasn’t crazy about the rest of my meal. Things were more oily than I’m used to, so that made me lose my appetite a little. Sushi roll was sloppy and messy to eat. Everything looks like it’s going to fall out even before I pick it up. Tempura was bland and nothing special. Noodles were alright, nothing special in flavour. Nothing has me wanting to come back for more unfortunately.
