I was recently hired at Chocoberry Dessert House.During my second shift, I was expected to know how to do everything, even things I was not trained for on my first shift. When I asked questions, my manager looked at me like I was an idiot. I was made to feel very incompetent. The manager was condescending and blamed her own mistakes on me. She spoke rudely to the other employees who had been working there longer. I quit after that second shift, not wanting to continue working in that type of environment. I had worked 6 hours and was paid $30.00 in cash. When I told my manager that it was not enough and asked to be paid my proper wage for the hours I worked, she refused. She told me that since I was training, I wasnt really working and had wasted her time, so she didnt have to pay me for the hours. She argued rudely with me, telling me that all I did was ask for help and didn’t do any work.

Me and a girlfriend came here for the first time today . It’s nice that this place is open until 11 pm. Seating is limited as it’s rather small. I had the peach fruit iced tea which was super refreshing and a banana cream waffle which was delicious . My friend had the double chocochip chocotail which she said tasted more like chocolate milk and the warm ginger caramel spice cake which she said was amazing . Overall it was pretty satisfying and we will be coming back .
