I just came across their Dosa Thali & Felt inquisitiveness!! So I went ahead & ordered Delivery through SkipTheDishes &the wait continued for nearly 45 Minutes to get the food . Well cute packaging first of all , Dosa is a South Indian dish, Sambhar, chutney etc, their Dosa was long enough, kinda soft, dont taste bad either. Sambhar lacked authenticity & Dosa too. These are not true authentic Dosa & Sambhar!!! Being born & brought up as a true South Indian who had eaten these since childhood, could definitely spot the difference in tastes. This restaurant might be serving Indian food but basically everything tastes similar to North Indian flavours.Just mentioning about Dosa Thali only for the reference.

How to lose $5 in 5 seconds? There are two ways of doing it. Either you can throw a $5 bill into trash can or you can order a lassi at clay oven.I was aware it is slightly expensive place but was surprised to see a lassi for $5. I still don’t mind spending that much on a glass of lassi but the quality was below average. Overall food is delicious. As I always talk about vegetarian food- superhit dish here is Navaratan Korma. Try it with basil naan and you will find yourself in food heaven.Order a lassi and you will escalate to ground quickly. Choose wisely. Great restaurant and beautiful view if you opt for patio. Prices match quality and quantity both (for food)If they can work on the quality of their beverages, this place could be the best Indian cuisine of Winnipeg.

I came here for a staff lunch today with my coworkers . There was about 12 of us we had made reservations and had pre ordered in advance so that we wouldn’t have to wait for our food . The staff was very on top of everything and they brought out all of our food right away no mistakes were made which was super impressive ! Most of us ended up getting the chicken or the vegetarian thali platters plenty of food and super delicious ! The location is great, plenty of parking and the servers were attentive ! We can’t wait to return !

There has always been a hype amongst my social circle to try out this place. I finally got to check it out last night, and it was perfect! Our waiter was attentive and the food came out when I was halfway through with my glass of Riesling- which doesn’t take me long to drink. They definitely cook the butter chicken in cream, though not as spicy as I wish it would be- it was good. Like any good old goat curry, it was flavourful and their mixed vegetables was definitely almost at the peak level of hot – which was perfect. They come in 8 ounces bowls- which at first doesn’t look like much, but my partner and I ended up taking half of everything home. Overall great experience! I’m going to try out their Biryani next time I come in, hopefully it will be comparable to the Biryanis I’ve had in South India.

I always enjoy my meals at Clay Oven. We paid the extra $5 per person to sit on the patio during a Goldeye’s game. My favorites are garlic naan, butter chicken, and the spicy chili shrimp appetizer (forget the name). This time I ordered he manchurian lamb noodles. I found that it was not spicy even though I ordered hot on a scale of mild medium hot and wished there was a bit more saucy. Luckily I ordered a side bowl of just butter chicken curry without chicken to dip my naan in. The mixed shish kebabs were good as well. The meat was very tender and fluffy. I don’t know how they do it! Overall it is always a great meal no matter which location you go.
