This place has changed its food and owners and kept the name. Worst pizza experience in my life. Used to be amazing. Right from ordering the operator messed up many times. The delivery came over 2 hours early as I ordered ahead. The delivery man phones me nonstop eventually until I redirected him to the store. He kept my order in the trunk for over two hours when I got it, it was no good. I called back to complain they said they wouldn’t refund and would send resend back the same order and the delivery guy will leave right away. After waiting an hour and a half, I call back and speak to another man who I explain the story to for a third time. He accepts my story and agrees the food was bad even though he sent his delivery driver back to deliver the food. When talking to him about a refund, he refused the order and said he would send me half my order to me because they were too busy. After an hour and a half wait, nearly 4 hours after its original delivery, I got half my order. I wouldn’t even call this place a business.
Best you order this as delivery! The restaurant itself is not attractive. I came in with my Dad for takeout and upon reviewing our order with the clerk many times, he gave us the wrong pizza. It was quite a long wait for the replacement- however with that all being said, he was very lovely! Kind, chatty and very personable! Pizza was good so even though there was a mixup, the clerk made up for it with a great attitude!
New owners are terrible, will not be back. I’m sorry, but once you start changing recipes and altering what was once a favourite pizza place, you will have lost me as a customer. Good day.
Customer service defined broadly. Against better judgement I ordered from this place last night. On an order of $43.59 (one two-topping pizza, one calzone, one pepsi), they offered me a $6 discount for delivering a pizza with the wrong topping. Needless to say I’ll not be ordering from them again. Well.. maybe for the wife as she’ll demand that chicken calzone again.Oh right.. the food. The chicken calzone was very good .. golden brown crispy crust with generous filling. As for the pizza … not so much. Bland sparse sauce, cheap cheese, pepperoni sliced translucently thin – basically a standard low end pizza. It’s surely not easy to run a profitable pizzaria in Winnipeg, and it shows. Input prices are high, margins are low. Protip: customer retention is key in such situations. The driver and guy on the phone seemed nice enough.. just not a good match with my base expectations of value and customer service. A free pizza, or something equivalent, would have likely made me a long term customer for when the wife is in need of a chicken calzone and the far-too-frequent times I’ll scarf down a generic pizza.
Do not get from this place. I ordered a 2 topping large pizza and garlic cheese toast for about 26 bucks, a half an hour later i get a call saying they cant make the cheese toast so i just go with the 13 dollar pizza 17 after taxes, so i wait another hour and 10 mins before i call back to ask where my pizza was. The guy said the driver was on his way and would be at my door any minute now. so i wait another 20 minutes before the driver finally shows up. He then says that my order was 21 dollars all of the sudden, When i finally go to eat my pizza i realize that the middle of the pizza wasnt fully cooked and was extremely soggy. On top of it all they use gross processed meats and cheese that didnt even form to the pizza and would slide off in one piece of unmelted cheese with meat inside.

Used to be a big fan of doughboys pizza, recommended it to all my friends… That is until the new owners took over, pre-made dough, sauce and cheap ingredients are now used. Thanks a lot for ruining my favourite pizza place, I will never eat here again, and tell everyone to steer clear doughboys. Another restaurant ruined by foolish owners who think they can come in, switch to crap ingredients and assume their patrons will not notice. At least change the name, you’ve tarnished it enough.
