Stopped here while at the Icelandic festival in Gimli over the weekend. $10 combo got me falafel with a samosa and canned pop. The falafel was really quite tasty. I do wish they had used a bit more sauce in the wrap but otherwise it was very good. Same thing with the samosa, would’ve been nice to have a dipping sauce.
Still Tasty, but…. I made my way up Broadway today to grab lunch from the food trucks, after seeing them start to come out last week. I made a beeline for Falafel Queen, as I thoroughly enjoyed my end of season falafel last year in October and have been itching to get another one to see if my memory was accurate. As with my last falafel, it was very delicious. Beautifully fried falafel balls that were full of flavor and perfectly crunchy, amazing pickled cabbage, sauces and fresh veggies. The flavor did not disappoint, that’s for sure! The prices have gone up a bit, they no longer serve fries, and the falafels are pretty skimpy, in comparison to Shawarma Khan, Baraka Bakery and Shawarma Time (all of which I’ve visited several times each over the last two months…I’ve been on a bit of a falafel kick). But the worst thing I noticed is that the straws appeared to have bene stolen from A&W and the napkins appeared to have been stolen from Starbucks. The service was aloof and not really friendly, but then again, it would have been difficult to carry on a conversation with all the truck and street noise. A smile would have been nice. I’ll definitely be back over the summer, as it’s the closest falafel to my work, and it is very delicious. Hopefully next time it won’t be obvious that their paper products are pilfered from other establishments.

Delicious. Falafel wrap is delicious, as are the samosas. Highly recommend and will return!
Gotta go back to try the rest. I was lucky not to have to search too far to find this truck. It is worth the search for the Falafel. With hot sauce it will leave your mouth tingling in delight for a while afterwards.
Great tasty and affordable lunch. They create the best Gyros I’ve ever had. The Gyro alone is filling enough nevermind the samosas or fries you can get with it in a combo.Don’t even get me started on their to die for samosas. It’s a flavour explosion in your mouth!All of their items are a great bang for your buck! Probably one of the only good food places downtown where you’re not paying an arm and a leg for your meal.
Falafel fit for a king. A buddy and I happened upon the Falafel Queen’s truck on Broadway last Friday, and decided to go for a falafel and fries combo for me, and a falafel and samosa combo for him.The falafel was very nice, with plenty of tasty fillings. The one item I founf that didn’t seem to belong in there were the dill pickle slices….they just seemed out of place.The fries were nice and crispy, unlike many a food truck where they tend to be creasy and soggy.My friend’s samosa was ok, but forgettable, in his words.A great alternative to the standard chip truck or hot dog vendor.
