Total dump. Over the past 10 years i have been to this place numerous times and i keep thinking it might get better but it never does. The male staff have always looked like they are released convicts who were given a job when they got out and the one female that has been there is a total airhead. Service is terrible and the food is worse. Do not bother complaining about your food as i have seen the staff go behind the wall to the kitchen and add things to the food they shouldnt be if you know what i mean. Also i have seen the manager there and he acts like a total jerk to anyone who tries to speak with him and he seems very full of himself. Overall a poorly run business. I officially stopped going.
Local Gossip. I had the opportunity to grab a quick bite at jJUSSJAZZ last week great inexpensive priced CHEAP lunch. Went back this week to take advantage of their lunch special hoping it would be as great a lunch special as the turkey sandwich, which I might add was real Turkey what a change, and affordable for my pocketbook. Noticed that the local gossip was that their next door neighbours (Gaberniks) were complaining about the competition. As a senior it was great to see that someone had taken note that possibly the downtown area had seniors who couldn’t pay the big prices and now they aren’t able to provide this service. WHAT ABOUT BUILDING UP DOWNTOWN WINNIPEG……GABERNIKS, GET COMPETITIVE NOT VENDICTIVE.. We old people deserve a break too.
Gaberniks Cafe Sucks!. Gaberniks cafe in Winnipeg takes the cake for ruining a good thing in downtown Winnipeg. Juss Jazz the new downtown jazz music club had a deck built on Portage ave by Downtown Biz. The owner of this cafe complains! His jealousy went to the owner (Landlord) of the building who then made Juss Jazz shorten the large patio to a tiny one! Brutal! Everyone wants to see Portage ave turn into something better and it’s owners like this that ruin it for everyone! I suggest that we boycott this cafe cause of his jealousy and stupidity! Great job by Downtown Biz by the way!
Bad. The only people I know who like this place have been working downtown since the 1970s. You can get better quality food at a supermarket deli. I’d rather bring my own sandwich from home than eat here.
The food is nothing special but the staff are very friendly.
