we go to Gails at least 2 times a week maybe 3 the odd time it has taken longer then usual but thats only because they were busy. The girls that work there are very friendly .we go on fridays for their bacon cheese burgers which are by far one of the best we have had for awhile. my husband loves their patti melts and denvers . we find the staff to be very accomodating .I honestly dont understand the negative reviews we have never had a bad experience there. we recomend it to all our friends .

Went there for lunch last month with an associate I had burger he had sandwich. So everything they cook comes from a yellow bag (superstore that is) it was awful and the fries were burnt. As we were eating lunch they parked a huge bin of green garbage bags by our table for about 10 minutes before they took it away. Another downside is u need to pay cash. Heads up Gails is not on Garry it is on Assiniboine. Will not go back.

Friendly Place for a Quick Bite. This is a basic cafeteria-style lunch place. Twice when I’ve come, I’ve been on the late end of the lunch rush, and have missed out on the special. That happened to me again when I tried to go for dinner on one of their Monday nights (they stay open later once a month or so). They offered to make me a burger instead. I had a pretty good reuben sandwich there once, and I would go back– good for a quick lunch, just don’t be late.
Basic Cafeteria Style. Stopped in for lunch with my Dad. You have to order at the till at the back and then wait for your name to be called and pick up your own food. We both had the soup of the day which was cabbage. We also both had one of the specials of the day (there were about 4) Mine was turkey salad sandwich (in a wrap for 50 cents extra) and my Dad chose fish & chips. Soup was fairly good but not great; my wrap was average though the turkey meat was real and tender. It was wrapped only with a little shredded lettuce and was rather small.. The fish and chips were also average with commercial battered frozen fish and soggy fries. They only have a small deep fryer which seemed unable to keep up with the lunch rush so they pre-cook and save the fries in a covered bowl hence why they are not crispy. The staff were all super friendly and working hard to keep up but the girl at the till was very inexperienced. Very basic home cooked food but unfortunately missing that certain flair.
