The truck offers delicious looking noodle/spring roll combinations plates, but I opted for a Vietnamese sandwich. The sandwich is filled with pork, cilantro, sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, some peppers and a mayonnaise based sauce. The sandwich had a little kick to it, which was quite enjoyable. Overall I thought the sandwich was good with strong flavor and the bun was nicely toasted but still soft on the inside. I enjoyed it.
First time visit was OK. Out for a walk at lunch today, I had to try the springroll truck for the first time. While I opted simply for a few springrolls, they’ve got a few other things on the menu, including, vietnamese subs, eggrolls, sweet-and-sour pork balls, pork kabobs, fried rice, french fries, and shanghai noodles. There are many combos, with different arrangements of all of the above, My springrolls were tasty and filling (some of the largest springrolls I’ve ever seen), but were quite greasy. They seem to have been deep fried once to get them 90% cooked, and then dropped back in the fryer when ordered to heat them up and give them a nice crispy shell. I’d like to try one of their subs, or maybe one of the pork kabobs, but I’ll need to try the springrolls again to see if my experience was a one-time miss, or if that’s they way they always are.
