I’m not exactly a fan of crepes so I had never even considered this place. Some friends convinced me to try it and wow I’m glad I did. I had the Kawaiin and it was outstanding! Everything about it was delicious and I can’t wait to try more.
I ordered the cheesecake crepe. It was mediocre and would have been better if it included fresh fruits instead of a very sweet compote. My friend ordered the pumpkin brle crepe – it was awful and looked nothing like the picture. It included ingredients which werent listed (its mainly made up of mini-marshmallows). It was so different from what she expected that she took it back to the counter to confirm she received the correct order. She was offered a full refund. I should have listened to her and gone to Baked Expectations :/ Ill never doubt her dessert choice again.
Best way to treat yourself on a day off (or a day of shopping). Really, any excuse to go here works! Favourite is the Osborne, but weve had a bit of everything.
Delicious crepes, both savoury and sweet. We especially like the Pump up the Yam which is a savoury and just a bit sweet treat with a touch of maple syrup, the Ninja crepe which has a roti-type filling, the Big Feast which Mr.Hitter swears is made with some of the best pulled pork around, and building our own with a a variety of cheese, veggies, sauce and proteins. When craving a sweet treat the Nutella peanut butter and banana crepe and cheesecake crepes are to die for. We also really enjoy the fresh squeezed lemonade they sell. It’s usually very busy in here and getting a table can be tough. If you do get one, it’s never clean due to the turnover. Would love to see more crepe places pop up in the city as the demand is clearly there.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is always consistent. The staff are always extremely friendly and in a great mood, which always puts me in a good mood. There are a ton of options as to crepes and they have no problem making it how you’d like it. The restaurant is adorable and is right in Osborne so a fantastic location to grab a crepe and walk down the street or sit near the window. It’s my favourite snack when walking in this area. The only thing I that prevents this place from earning a full 5 from me is that the crepes are slightly crispy. I like a softer, chewier crepe and these are just much too crispy. I still enjoy them though!
Thorough regarding food allergies and organized. They have such a remarkably delicious menu too. This isn’t your average crepe! This place has been a favourite of mine for years and they never fail to impress me with good flavour and excellent service. XOXO
YES! You have to go here! Their crepes are so good. On my visit to Winnipeg, this was my first food stop, my friend and I both tried the Ninja crepe – quite tasty! We both also ordered bubble tea, mine was a bit under flavored but overall not bad.
