This place has really gone downhill since the last time I’ve been here. Everything on the menu is taken out with a black marker and the food just isn’t worth what you’re paying for. I paid almost 40 dollars for 2 rolls and had to give an automatic tip since we were a table of 6. The place had just us and another couple and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for my second sushi roll to come out which ended up tasting like it’s been sitting for awhile. I understand there is a new chef but in that case, the prices and menu need to change.
Went here for some dinner the other day. Ordered a TNT Roll and one tempura udon, just water for drinks. First of all, the service was nice and they talked to me politely. The food was great, and the TNT was especially good. It was well decorated, with the rolls laid out simply to make it not seem so cluttered. I thought it was worth the wait, and I would definitely recommend this place.
I am a regular there. I can tell that their food are down grading. The quality and the presentation of food are suck because of the new chef….. I had order a tuna tataki and finally it’s coming with a mess (just look like garbage). There is only one big fat guy who is working during lunch time and it was not busy. This is my first time coming in lunch(i always come at night) and I never coming back for lunch. One of the server told me that the sushi guy took away their 50% of the tips from card payment, that’s why she is going to get another job. I dont think it is worth to tip out to the sushi guy who’s giving me a shit. From that day, I only paid cash for the tip and i never seen that girl working there anymore.
Ordered through skip the dishes today, got an order of the creamy spicy tempura shrimp, veggie tempura, 2 Unagi (bbq eel) and an order of gyozas (dont judge, I was hungry) lol everything was wonderful, except the creamy spicy shrimp was a bit on the cold side but thats a given it was delivery right. It was nice and spicy and flavorful with big shrimp. I ate it all! Everything else was really good too, first time ordering from here. UPDATE: Ordered from here this afternoon at 2 pm through @skipthedishes said it would arrive in half an hour, then the time changed again, it kept changing and I was then on my 3rd delivery driver, I contacted someone on skip and I was told the restaurant couldn’t fill my order until 3:10 pm….UM OK….I should of been notified so that I could of cancelled it, I was not given any explanation why it took so long. Needless to say when my food finally showed up after 3:30 pm it was cold. Not impressed at all.
Great sushi experience. Unbelievable bento box special for lunch, a huge amount of food for $12. TNT Roll is delicious and very little rice. Will definitely be back!
Worth every penny with good vegetarian options available . Kamakazi rolls are amazing with fried tofu. Located at nice corner of corydon village the street of restaurants. Lived it
We order from Kenko all the time, the first time it was simply out of convenience (we live close by). We go back time and time again, however, because the sushi is just so tasty. There are lots of other sushi options in the area, and they’re all pretty good, but Kenko is our favourite.Definitely try the TNT tofu! (I should note that I only ever order the vegetarian sushi, but my partner eats meat and says the fish sushi is pretty solid as well).
