Alrighty folks. Got the pork belly poutine and well they should have called it the onion poutine cause that was about 80% of it. Will have to go back to try something else but the people working there looked and acted like they didnt even want to be there.
If you want bigger and better portions go to their parent restaurant Kyu Bistro. They cheap out on portions cuz it’s the Forks so they get tons of customers >_>
I dined here about a month ago while with a friend at the Fork’s Market. We had a poutine with fish flakes (can’t remember the kind and can’t find it on their online menu or website), along with a Mango Heroshima. The service was lacklustre (but it is a food court), however the food was fantastic! The bun on the Mango Heroshima was sweet and soft with a yellow tinge (not sure what is in it, but it complimented the ingredients very nicely). The fries were crispy with awesome toppings–the fish flakes moved as they settled into the hot toppings underneath. So GOOD! 🙂
Ordered udon noodles and got a pager. Waited and waited. Finally went back to the stand and there are a couple of teenagers playing on their cell phones. Quite a way to run a business. Noodles weren’t great either.
So so so so SO happy they got a place indoors with seating! I would frequent their food cart in summer but always hated the wasps that attracted around the area they were in. I always go for the spicy mayo chicken or the pork belly heroshima. Since they’ve added new items to their menu at the forks, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out since their cart is a limited menu. I also had a catering done by them for a bridal shower and was very impressed by the amount of food. For the price we paid, we got much more than enough to feed our party and the quality was nothing short. The side order of fries, corn, and chicken are also a must! Definitely a must to check out of you like Asian fusiancuisine.
I had been dying to try Kyu Grill after seeing them set up at Many Fest a couple years ago. I was very excited to see them get a permanent spot at the forks, and finally tried it last night. I went with the Mango Chicken with a side of spring rolls. Everything was delicious! The chicken was so tender and that mango salsa was killer! Can’t wait to try the Goji Berry Beef!
Very interesting menu. A porkbarbeque on a stick made into a sandwich was very filling. The pork was flavourful with the right spice. I don’t mind trying other menu next time. Good job guys!
