.Came in with a party of 6 with reservations for a friends birthday at his request.We all ordered at the same time.Over an hour later the food started coming out.Four orders we brought out and given to the people who ordered them.Then nothing for me and my other friend.We sat there watching our party dig into their meals anticipating that ours would be out shortly.When we saw the server tending to other duties I inquired about our meals.We were rudely told that our meals would not be out for about 45mins as the chef was just starting out orders now and that it is a slow process to make the dishes.Come on now.Who goes out with a group of friends for dinner and wants to sit there watching your party eat their food.I didnt mind waiting for an hour, but 45 mins beyond that is maddening,especially when the group you are with has already eaten and now they are waiting for you to finish.Unprofessional to say the least.We could have been told in advance as we already expected a long wait but this was unheard of.Tip:parties usually want to enjoy food as a group. We told her to cancel our order and she started to protest,but we already knew our food hadn’t even been cooked yet.Walked across the street for pizza.I will never go back to Massawa ever again.
This is my new favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the city. It took a while to get our food but having been to other Ethiopian restaurants we expected that. The selection was great and the food was amazing. The atmosphere is also really nice. Highly recommend this place!
