My favorite sushi place in North Winnipeg. The sushi is priced very well and is very good. I absolutely love the sushi pizza, it’s around the same price as other places but is twice as big. Love their bubble tea as well. Often order off skip the dishes and they even deliver the bubble tea!
Had lunch here with a coworker and it was very good ! Sushi tasted great , awesome selection, great bubble tea flavors, great atmosphere. Waitor was friendly. I came here a couple years ago and i must say that improvements have since been made with the food and the service. Only complaint is we waited a little longer than anticipated for the bill.Overall i was pleasantly surprised , with my last mediocre experience i tried not to expect too much but it was great. My favourite thing to order when im having sushi is a sunomono salad and theirs was one of the best. recommend to everyone .
Eh… Food was okay. The service was bad though. Barely explained how things worked when we said we’ve never been there. Food took so long though and we didn’t even go at a busy time. Let’s just say I wouldn’t go again..
Not bad. First time trying this restaurant. my rolls were very good. Only complaint was the wasabi wasn’t hot at all. food presentation was nice.
Fraudulent advertising. Three days prior to attending Mikan Sushi for the $25.99 all you can eat dinner special, I phoned and confirmed the price and that this special would be offered on the day of my attendance. Upon arrival, I was given the all you can eat specialized menu and placed my order. Shortly after I was advised that the restaurant was too busy and my order would not be accepted. I was advised that if I wanted to place my order for the regular menu prices, it would be prepared. There was only two other people in the restaurant at the time. This false special is prominently displayed in the front window of the restaurant.
My family and I ate at Mikan on July 12, 2013 and was very disappointed in the rolls. We ordered an Atlantic, Bakudan Tuna, Pink, dynamite, masago and chopped scallop. The Atlantic came out with tempura bits in it (??) that made it so dry that we could barely taste the sliver of salmon that was in it. The bakudan tuna was the same. We’ve eaten at many sushi restaurants and none had ever included tempura bits in their Atlantic nor were tempura bits inside their bakudan. Usually the bits are on top of their bakudan. The Pink roll had such a huge piece of cucumber that the egg was non-existent and the salmon on top was so thinly sliced that my tastebuds barely registered it. The chopped scallop came out as we were finishing our meal that wehad to get it to go. We’re so disappointed in this restaurant that I am writing this review before we’ve had a chance to eat the chopped scallop. Although, based on the last rolls I’m not expecting greatness. The service was sub-par with great intervals between our apps, rolls and drinks. The saddest thing ia that the place was not busy so we should have received more attentive service.This was definitely not worth the $66+that we paid for our bill!! This review is not being submitted to be mean but in the hopes that Mikan will use the critism to improve.
