I really enjoy Mongos when I’m looking for a healthier restaurant option. It is great value and you are able to customize your meal exactly how you like it. I dined here Monday night. It was not very busy which made it a great experience. Less people means less waiting for your stir fry to cook. As long as you go at a time when it is not overly crowded, your experience will be pleasurable. Our service was good at this location. Also, dinner is free if its your birthday so remember to take advantage of that!
The food here was delicious,I like at the grill every body worked as a team there and throwing the rice bowls then catching them if I did that there would be alot of stuff on the floor
This is my friend go to place to suggest going to so I’ve been there 3 different times. The more I go, the less I like it. It’s so busy all the time that you stand around and have to be shuffled along with your overflowing bowls of randomness you’ve picked out just so you can eat. Not the ideal situation for small children, people who can’t stand for long periods of time or need canes or wheel chairs to get around. The variation of choices is great and the recipe cards are a cool idea, but even the staff has told to me they don’t like refilling the trays until asked because the glass cover makes it hard for them to maneuver. But even if you get all you want, once it hits the grill, everything then tastes the same. I’ve tried 3 different combinations thinking maybe I just not a fan of the sauce I choose. It turns out, I’m just a fan of the sauces and food all over cooked together. The rice they offer with it as well is dry and the stir fried one is the same favor as the stir fry. Drinks and dessert are good, I would happily go just to have their lemonades. Also avoid if you have food allergies and on a budget.
Went there today with my 2 kids and 4 other guests. We were there for lunch and it was busy. We were lucky to get a table right away. Our server greeted us promptly and even checked to see if we had any allergies. She explained it to us and we were on our way. You can stuff as much as you can into a bowl and it’s cooked right in front of you. It was delicious. My son had a sundae and the manager kept asking him how it was. He even told him that he would do some magic tricks if he behaved during our visit. He was over the top nice. Our lunch was amazing and it was quite reasonably priced. My auntie was celebrating her birthday and was given a free lunch! What a nice surprise. We ended up sticking around for a while and the place cleared out. Our server was working around the bar cleaning up and spent some time chatting with my son which really made him happy. It was an overall great experience.
How on earth can you have a bad experience at Mongo’s. You pick your own ingredients, your own sauce and spices, even your side. the only thing that you don’t do it grill it. Servers are punctual, my drink is never empty.
If you have a bad time at mongo’s, it’s your own doing .. You make your own bowl! The service is good for a place where you do everything yourself, and the food is decent quality
I enjoy this place. My thought is that if you have bad food here, it is your own fault considering you are the one putting your dish together.I have been here many times and the only issue I have with the restaurant itself is the difficulty of getting a table when you have a party of 5 or more. Usually a wait of 45+ minutes. 4 or less people get in fairly quick considering how full the place usually is. Other than that, the staff are all very friendly and are very efficient on making sure your drink is full and that you have everything you need.I have eaten there enough that I have developed a combination that is amazing and it is always just how I want it. It is fun to take new people there to see what they create to get new ideas, even for when I make stir-fry at home.I can understand what the few other reviews are talking about when they say that it is usually quite messy in the food prep line but whenever I am there I always see that area being cleaned 2 or 3 times. The reason it never stays clean is because of the people who think it is a skyscraper building challenge and half of the food falls on the floor before they get to the cook station. If people would just be smart and use 2 bowls or chose not to be a cheap ass that has to get 3 bowls worth of food for the price of 1, the place would be clean and I wouldn’t get as irritated when I am in line. Also, not only is the big bowl messy, it also takes longer to cook which in turn holds up the line for every other person that wants to eat.I guess you can say the only real issue I have with this place is the people that eat there.
