I First Off would like to say that Mooshiro was my go to sushi place when I lived closer to the west end. Unfortunately now I moved to the other end of the city so I havent been there in over a year. My friend and I (and my 4 month old baby) decided to take the trip to Mooshiro. The food was good, but I do have an issue with 1 thing. My daughter was getting very fussy towards the end of our evening and the only way I could calm her was to cradle her. Obviously I couldnt finish eating my sushi. I had a few glares from other customers so I thought it was best to pack up and leave. I asked the waitress if we could box up my 5 pieces of sushi because of the situation. She asked the owner and he insisted he charge me for the sushi. Im upset because I feel thats poor customer service. I feel that the charge for left over sushi should be on a case to case basis. There was 5 pieces left so he said hed ONLY charge $2. I dont really care how much Im charged, I still feel he could have been more understanding. Ive been to other ayce restaurants closer to my end of the city and they have never charged me if I have a few pieces of sushi left over. I guess this is enough for me to not visit Mooshiro again. It wasnt worth the 30 min drive to have that kind of experience. My friend who I was with agrees, and thats really too bad.
I had a good time at mooshiro sushi, they have good service and it is definitely better than some lousy pre made sobeys sushi. I cant wait to try everything they have to offer 🙂
$18.95 for ayce lunch. Lots of options in the menu. Service was prompt and friendly and they check up on you every now and then. The sushis were big and packed with ingredients. Tempuras were crisp although i found the batter just slightly heavy on the shrimp tempura. The only thing i didnt like from the ayce menu was the spicy beef noodle as it had very little meat to noodle ratio and it tasted like it was just tossed in thin plain sweet and sour sauce. Otherwise, we liked the sushis we ordered, tempuras were good, gyoza were good as well and the service is prompt and friendly. We will be back
