Often disappointed. As someone who eats gluten free I appreciate their attempt to provide gluten free treats. However, more often than not when you arrive prior to 8:30 (on your way to work) they dont have gluten free donuts ready. Maybe they are offering to many flavours to ensure their vegan and or gluten free treats are prepared for those that wish to visit before work. Maybe they need to change their signage (gluten free available after x:00). I definitely havent visited as often as I would if I could rely on them being prepared.
Great spot to pick up a box of donuts. Great gift idea to drop off at any business, as they are shocked at the size of donuts you get. Quality is very good.
I love the Doughnuts here, I am anxiously waiting for the Mojito Doughnut to come back soon! I noticed that the Taylor locations dough wasnt quite as good, but I tried it again and felt that it was corrected. I enjoy the different flavours and creativity of the owners. (Oh and if you are unaware they have a great variety of Vegan options too!)
Having visited Calgary and Edmonton in January 2017 to find Tim Hortons still the only viable Canadian choice for fried Dough it was with modest expectations that Oh Doughnuts was visited immediately after lunch at The Don Restaurant, the space below street level at 326 Broadway severely lacking for charm in terms of decor though service was efficient and pleasant.Owned and operated by Baker Amanda Kinden, her goal to provide Manitoba with a better brand of Doughnut hatched in 2016 and developed since into a sustainable business that even goes so far as to recycle fryer Oil to Biofuel, it is by way of a board outside (and social media) that daily flavors are announced, some sixteen or so including several Vegan choices ranging from simple glazed rings to Chicago Popcorn Mix.Higher priced than big chains or even local Artisan competitor Bronuts, though the use of locally sourced Organic Eggs, Flour and Butter no doubt justifies the cost, it was taking a half-dozen elsewhere that indulgence began by way of the Turtle, a soft Brioche base with plenty of spring topped in all the appropriate ingredients while the follow-up Vegan Pershing achieved a near-identical crumb structure as a coil around Cinnamon topped in tangy Yogurt Glaze.Frankly shocked at the Vegan Doughnuts texture, another Egg-and-Butterless masterpiece found in a Bismark stuffed with Dark Chocolate and topped with sugary Peanut Butter, it was transitioning back to three un-restricted Bismarks that a difference finally was noted, the base more buttery and able to stand up to diverse textures such as pureed Blackberries and creamy Key Lime, though by far the best was one called Brown Butter Banana Cheesecake that had precisely the right consistency to earn its naming and not a whole lot of added sweetness which thus let ripe Fruit flavors shine. endoedibles.com
Service was great, cute atmosphere. Really wanted to be impressed and support a local business. Unfortunately was disappointed by the taste. For gourmet doughnuts, they were just ok.
DISCLOSURE: I AM NOT A DOUGHNUT PERSON. I never have been a doughnut person. I find they are too sweet and I would rather have a muffin or another pastry. After following Oh Doughnuts on Instagram I decided I needed to give them a try as the pictures they post are irresistible! I tried a savoury everything bagel doughnut and got a lemon meringue doughnut for my mom. I found a new love let me tell you. The everything bagel doughnut is one of the best things I have had in this city. It was flaky and the cream cheese filling was flavourful and delicious. My mom said the lemon meringue was insane and the meringue was light. Looking forward to getting another one soon!
Best doughnuts! They really care about their customers to accommodate with as many gluten friendly and vegan options possible. They continuously are switching and adding flavours. Their gluten friendly doughnuts are so good, my favourites are blueberry lemon glaze, cherry with vanilla bean glaze and cookies and cream. The vegan doughnuts are light and fluffy. It’s a bit pricey but worth buying.
